GC Doshin the Giant [JPN / US$60]

When the GIANT mushes through his island habitat, he can be beneficial to the humans living there by helping them build settlements and thereby advancing their society. With his awe-inspiring girth and strength, he manipulates the land by lifting it up or flattening it into a plain. Flatlands are good for humans to build upon since their settlements are on an even keel. When he's nice and helpful, humans give Doshin a heart. This heart increase his size. Being bigger allows Doshin to better protect the humans and affect weather patterns or snuff out fires caused by errant volcanic flow. When harsh weather approaches, your bigness helps in warding off tornadoes and rain whilst harmful island monsters may be trampled under your big toes...
At other times, Doshin can also wreak havoc and turn into a red painted devil-type but it's better to be nice, since that's the aim. In stock today for the Japanese Gamecube, Nintendo displays their generosity by including a free memory card 59 in each game.

GBA Korokoro Puzzle [JPN / US$49]

Nintendo pulled off a similar type of game a few years back with Korokoro Kirby on the Gameboy Color. In Korokoro Puzzle, you manipulate the onscreen action by tilting your GBA unit to the left, to the right, up and down. Motion sensors in the cartridge detect your harried movements and correspond accordingly. It's nifty.

PS1 Powerful Pro Baseball 2002 [JPN / US$55]

When Konami debuted "Big-head Baseball" back in the days of Super Famicom, we weren't sure how to handle it. Here were these childish players ambling onscreen with nary a professional look about them. Sales are doomed, we surmised, at first glance. Surprisingly, sales picked up as buzz got around. Many years later and many, many iterations of the game on every Japanese console since, another Powerful Pro makes it to market. Fans of the series know what to expect. Some gameplay tweaks have been enacted and an updated training mode allows teams to groom up and coming talent for their rosters.

PS2 Typing Love Story Boys Be [US$49/US$68]

Based on an ongoing manga series and a thirteen episode anime in Japan, Boys Be focuses on the trials of a group of high school students as they discover love and friendship. Although the focus of the series is on the two childhood friends Kyoichi and Chiharu, the other males and females also get their fair share of screen time and introspection.
In order to help game players with their typing skills, Sunsoft entices fans of the Boys Be franchise with a set of exercises featuring the characters from the game. Letters appear onscreen and it's up to you to slap the keys accurately and at a goodly pace. NCS supplies the regular and limited edition today. The special edition includes a clear-blue keyboard, as seen below.
