Four high-profile PS2 titles see re-release on June 27: Kaze
no Klonoa 2, Mosquito, Parappa the Rapper 2
and Shutoko Battle Zero. All titles are to be priced
at Y3000 and NCS expects to set retail at US$30.
Publisher Syscom will
re-release Crazy Bumps and Midnight Club at a
lower price of Y2800 on July 11. Both racing games fared
poorly in Japan and the re-issue is an odd scenario.
However, it might be a tactic to re-package old stock and
get on all of the "NEW" release lists to attract
buyers. That's the ticket...but, we digress.
Finally, D3 Publisher have summer plans to ship
three new Simple 2000 PS2
games on July 25. From the
Honkaku Sikou Series, we look forward to The Mahjong
which is exactly as it sounds. That's the good thing about
D3's games - why bother with creative titles when you can
just put the description in the name of the game. The other
two releases are The Snowboard and The Boxing.
A Playstation 1 game titled The Football is also
scheduled for July 25. All The games will be priced
at Y2000 or roughly US$23 from NCS.
