GBA: Mugen Borg  JPN  US$43  BUY
The latest attempt by Konami at creating a new and sustainable tri-franchise (That's three franchises in one: Game, TV Series and Toys) ships in the form of Mugen Borg. Leading the way with a GBA game followed by an animated series debuting in Japan on February 6, 2003, Konami attacks with a two-headed assault. Toy tie-ins cannot be far behind. Mugen Borg follows the story of a young boy who enters a world where toy robots may be upgraded with special parts and enhanced to fighting finesse in order to take part in national tournaments. NEWS: General Updates  JPN
Due to a shipping delay overnight (maybe the planes froze whilst flying from Anchorage to New York), a number of imports originally expected this week are tardy. Looking to next week, the Japanese version of PS2 Devil May Cry 2 is expected on Monday while the USA version of DMC2 ships on January 28-29. Also expected early next week, XBox Galaxy Angel, PS1 Rikujou Boueitai Maochan and late shipments of PS2 Samurai Perfect Version and Get Backers Dakkanoku: Dakkandayo! Zenin Shuugou!

PC Final Fantasy XI [JPN] restock will arrive on Monday as well and any pending backorders will ship once the game is in stock.
PS2 Makai Senki Disgaia and GC World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 are expected on Thursday of next week. Additional imports will be updated on Monday once we receive our shipping schedule from suppliers.
A number of Yujin capsule toys will be available again within 2 weeks including a Capcom vs SNK set, a Vampire Saviour set and a Hikaru no Go plush set. Pricing per capsule toy is expected to be US$3. The new Chobits capsule toys from Yujin and a Sumomo action figure from Konami are also expected within the next 1-2 weeks.

ETC: COLD
It is ridiculously cold in New York City. It has been for the past 10 days. The wind cuts like a knife and any water left outside freezes over within a few minutes time. We're hitting 21° and the wind sears exposed flesh. In a parking lot near our offices which is close to the water, we watched swarms of seagulls just sitting in the middle of the lot. Most times, they're flying about and gulping down whatever food or detritus is on the ground but they appeared too sedate and dumbfounded to do much of anything as harsh winds buffeted the flock. Normally brazen pigeons are nowhere to be seen (maybe they're huddling near the steam traps atop buildings) although we did spy a large number of squirrels foraging for acorns. A recent article in the WSJ advised against feeding animals, citing learned dependence on handouts, but we tossed a few handfuls of mixed nuts to the freezing beasts anyway. Perhaps our small contribution of fuel will help the birds and bushy-tailed rodents survive the cruel weather.
