  NEWS PS2 Japan December 2003 Preorders
   December looks to be a busy month with an impressive lineup of imports headed to market. It's like every publisher held onto the good stuff until the end of the year. A surprise announcement overnight was the fast PS2 conversion of SNK vs Capcom Chaos which ships on December 18, 2003. In related Playmore news, their site has been updated with Metal Slug 5 details.
   Sega's next batch of Sega Ages releases ship on December 11 and the new Growlanser 4 game ships on December 18 in a regular and a limited edition. We've highlighted some notable imports below...

  NEWS Transformers Collection 11 - Astro Train
   The next Transformers Collection re-issue from Takara ships in mid-late December and features the mighty Decepticon space shuttle called Astro Train. If we remember correctly, Astro Train shuttled Decepticons to and from space in convoy missions and his job was more of a courier than an attacker.
   Originally released in 1985, Takara revives Astro Train and makes it available to a new generation of Transformers fans. Similar to other TC re-issues, a colorful booklet is included with the toy in flip-top window packaging. A larger photo may be viewed here.
   In related Transformers Collection news, all of the previous figures in the series will be re-released by Takara in December. The reproductions include the much desired #00 Convoy and #06 Megatron.
 
 

  NEWS Delayed Shipments, Etc

   The mass of imports expected to arrive this morning are now slated to arrive on Saturday... when no one will be here. Due to an administrative agency delay, all preorders are now shipping on Monday. Apologies for the unforeseen lag.
   Hurricane Isabel's fringes swept through the metro area overnight and snapped a few branches, stripped some trees of bark and rolled a bunch of garbage cans around. Some shop awnings were also busted up brutally. Other than that, her effects were fairly limited.
