Phantom Brave

  NEWS Import Preorder Updates

   Preorders for Phantom Brave Limited Edition are now open for delivery on January 22, 2004 at Y8800. Bonus inclusions include an art book and a soundtrack CD bundled with the game in fancy packaging. Takehito Harada, who handled the character designs for the popular Disgaea game takes up the pen once again and sketches the protagonists and creatures in Phantom Brave. The art book in the LE package will include main character artwork, monster sketches and a bunch of scene mockups for fans to take in.  
   As if Kids Mode wasn't easy enough, Capcom has announced a "Sweet Mode" in the re-release of Viewtiful Joe this winter. Apparently geared towards the kindergarten set, Viewtiful Joe Revival offers a difficulty level below that of Kids Mode at a friendly price of Y3980. Hard charging players will still be able to play the other difficulty levels if they wish. VJR ships to eager tykes on December 18, 2003.
 
 

Valkyrie VF-1S Hikaru Ichijo

  NEWS Valkyrie 1/48 Scale VF-1S Hikaru Ichijo
   Preorders are now welcome for the fifth 1/48 scale Valkyrie from Yamato which ships in mid-late December 2003. Similar to other 1/48 scale behemoths that have come before it, the VF-1S Ichijo Hikaru Diecast figure features a detailed cockpit with figure which may be seated within, a gallery of weapons, movable fingers and the ever lovin' ability to shift from battroid to gerwalk to jetfighter. 
   NCS expects pricing at US$130.
 
 

Hug an Alien

  NEWS Alien Gallery
   Additional supplies of the Alien Vol. 1 Candy Toy are expected within the next few weeks to bolster our waning stock. Sales for this particular set have been brisk but that was sort of expected. Then again, our expectations for Terminator toys were too lofty and we're sitting on stacked cases which are corralling dust bunnies in warehousing. Arnold just don't cut it when it comes to plastic reproductions.
   NCS offers up a total of 22 photos over eight pages of the Alien toys today. Check the detail on the figures and be amazed. Or at least mildly impressed.
