MOTD Famimaga Vol. 1-2 (1996)

SOLDOUT

A little over eight years ago, the Super Famicom was still going strong and Nintendo lorded over the gaming landscape. Funny how the entire landscape can change in under a decade. Today's issue of Famimaga exhibits a good sampling of the games that players in Japan were playing in the day.

Notable coverage in the issue
p8-13  The Lord of Elemental from Banpresto. An isometric Super Robot Wars clone where anime characters in mechs battle each other across the galaxy.
p28-31  Powerful Pro Baseball 3 from Konami. Interesting to read how Konami had great ideas for their baseball franchise even back in the primitive 16-bit years. Some information on team and player management and game modes.
p32-37  Bahamut Lagoon information on characters, game tips, and monster encounters.
p38-43  ONI role-playing adventure- background story and character stats
p48  Nintendo Satellaview article which includes a schedule for February 10 to March 8. Two games from Square are featured - Dynami Tracer and Treasure Conflix are featured.

A Jan-Jun 1996 calendar is included where the months feature Mario 64, Zelda 64, Starfox 64 and others. An article on Nichibutsu Arcade Classics 2 is somewhat interesting. Price: $6.50 shipped with USPS Media Mail.
