PLEASE READ: The NEW SHOP is separate and distinct from the OLD SHOP. If you place an order on the OLD SHOP, you will not be able to use the NEW SHOP to check on your order and vice versa. Unfortunately, we were not able to resolve the two shop databases in order to transfer customer histories and accounts. Both shops are fully operational and capable of taking orders.

Mario vs Donkey Kong

Invasion

GBA Mario vs Donkey Kong - New Japanese Import

Donkey Kong is lounging inside his banana-laden domain, watching television, when a commercial pops up. Mini Mario toy. It walks, it talks in munchkin language, and it's horribly desirable. Hypnotized with desire, DK bounds out to the toy shop, only to discover that Mini Mario has sold out completely. When faced with such adversity, mere mortals would simply return home with a whimper. This is no mere mortal. With yearning in his heart, Donkey Kong turns to the Mario Toy Company to mount an assault.

With only a few Mr Toads watching the assembly line, Donkey Kong scares off the workers and fills a sack full of Mini Marios and proceeds to vacate the premises. His getaway would have been clean but for the pursuit of Mario, who valiantly interrupts the ape's getaway and gives chase...

Guide Mario through pastel-colored platform levels in an effort to retrieve Mini Mario toys that are scattered through the worlds. Along the way, battle creatures who would stop your progress, jump on red and blue switches to open/close barriers and wield hammers to bop assorted beasts. New tricks and moves may also be learned which grant Mario new athletic prowess.

Flame of Recca

PS2 Animation Battle Recca no Honou - New Japanese Import

Recca Hanabishi represents the last mortal member of a ninja clan that died out 400 years ago. Sent from the past into the future, Recca enjoys a relatively carefree life, except for the ninja training. Well versed in the way of the warrior, Recca also happens to be able to summon fire and use it as a weapon. It's a skill that comes in handy when fighting in video battles...
A total of 31 characters are featured in the game which include Fuuko Kirisawa, Domon Ishijima, Kaoru Koganei, and others. Fights are fought in interactive action sequences which don't react in realtime to player commands but rather in movie sequences. Choose an action to perform and watch as streaming video is shown in crisp animation quality.

Sakurazaka Shouboutai

PS2 Sakurazaka Shouboutai - New Japanese Import

Join the ranks of a fire fighting company and immerse oneself in the drama, routines, and dangers of the job. When the fire siren sounds, it's full battlestations as the whole company jolts into action and wends onto the scene of a fire. Once on the attack, water may be shot out in steady streams for forcing down conflagrations or billowed out in sprays to cover wider areas. In addition to the fire fighting action, players will find themselves moving around like Solid Snake to avoid falling objects and to reach other areas. Two players may play at once to tame fires cooperatively. Missions in the game take players to a factory, an office tower, apartment complex, multi-story parking garage and even a hospital...all of which fall into flaming distress.

MOTD Famitsu Magazine Vol. 471 (Dec 26, 1997)

Santa and Famitsu's mascot appear ready to shred the slopes on the cover of today's MOTD. Nearing 300 pages, this holiday issue of Famitsu shows the wealth of advertising dollars available around the happy season.
Notable features and items in the magazine
p8-14  Famitsu Express news section - there's a scrap heap scramble kind of photo on page 8 where many consoles are thrown together in a junk pile.
p21-26  Shining Force III mission objectives, maps, and tactical primers.
p31-41  The reviewers are kept busy with a whopping 45 games ranked - Rockman Dash gets 9/8/8/6, Densha de Go scores 10/7/8/6, and Grandia wins gold with 9/7/8/8. The only other game to medal in the issue is Yoshi 64.
p102-105
Grandia look-see with copious screenshots and game sequences shown. The spread ends with a 2-page fold-out Grandia advert.
p134-148  Even more reviews from the Famitsu crew but this time, the best games of 1997 are revisited - Tobal 2 leads with 9/8/9/10 and many others are recapped such as DOA, X-Men vs SF, Moon, Biohazard, Nights, etc. Towards the end of the feature, some notable games from past history are shown such as Mother 2 from 1994 at 9/9/8/8 and Street Fighter II from 1993 (9/9/9/9). All in all, one of the better issues of Famitsu for game historians...
