Scrap Heap Scramble -
PS2 Games |

 |
Two tested, working Japanese Playstation 2 imports as
follows:
1) Powerful Pro Baseball 7
The national pastime inspires and provides the fodder for movies,
music, and naturally video games. Konami hits the field
running with the latest in their baseball series with
teams to assemble, players to hone, and games to win.
Refined cursor system allows for precise positioning of
pitches and hits as well as fielders. Fun baseball
action, but the presentation of the game is getting long
in the tooth.
2) Game Select 5
Waking up on a beach, our hero in Game Select 5 appears to be a
former ship captain who is now shipwrecked with nary a
penny to his name. Shortly after revisiting
consciousness, a rough-looking but helpful pirate
approaches and doles out some advice on this new land
and its inhabitants. Everyone plays games and prize
money serves as reward for anyone skilled enough to beat
myriad opponents. With this in mind, the player sets
forth into town to find his fortune. The first encounter
that one will probably stumble onto is the droll
shopkeeper whose head rests firmly on his palm. Any game
may be played in his shop including western chess,
Othello, Go, Backgammon, western card games and a couple
of simple puzzle sims.
