Samurai Shodown V Special

  NEO GEO Samurai Shodown V Special - New Import
   After shipping Samurai Shodown V earlier in 2004, SNK updates the game as summer unwinds. Improvements in the Special edition of Samurai Spirits Zero include four playable bosses (Amakusa, Zankuro, Gaoh, and Mizuki) and a more even-keeled attack/defense balance between characters in the game.
    Storyline and character data has been posted on Playmore's website. There's also a bunch of striking character artwork along with moves for each fighter on the site for curiosity seekers. Samurai Shodown V Special represents the final Neo Geo home cartridge as SNK Playmore explores other markets such as the PS2 and Xbox.  

   All preorders for the English version of Samurai Shodown V Special are shipping today but please note that the Japanese version will arrive tomorrow...which means we'll ship preorders on Monday of next week. New orders for the English version are welcome to ship today at US$359. No posters were included this time around...not even the old Samurai Shodown V poster...
 
 

Insecticons Repaint

  TOYS Transformers Collection 16 - Insecticon Repaint
   A week or so ago, we started preorders for Takara's reissue of three Insecticons (Bombshell, Kickback, Shrapnel) which are packaged in Transformers Collection 16. Along with the three robots, three pink Energon cubes are thrown into the mix. e-Hobby Japan will offer a special Repaint version of Transformers Collection 16 where the Insecticons are splashed with bright reds instead of the gold and blue found in the original versions. 
  
In robot form, the Insecticons look like Voltron-type bots but shuffle a few parts around, fold some others in and they'll morph into beetles on wheels.

Delivery for the repainted Insections is expected in mid-late October 2004 and pricing is set at US$49. The USA version (normal paint) from Hasbro is expected in December 2004.
