MOTD Famitsu Vol 483 (Mar 20, 1998)

gone
Mascot appears somewhat scholarly on today's MOTD.

Notable features and items in the magazine
p8-14  Famitsu news introduces the world to the Pocketstation and prompts a few luminaries (Hideo Kojima, for one) for their take on Sony's invention. The black NeGcon pad is also photographed and a market share pie chart for consoles is shown with Playstation leading the pack.

p29-34
The Review Crew offers their opinions on 21 new releases such as Kitty on Your Lap (7/6/6/6/), Dead or Alive (8/8/7/8), Gundam the Battle Master (6/6/6/6), and Eve the Lost One (8/7/8/8).

There's a good run of ads towards the middle of the magazine - some eye catchers include the one for Mawatte Mucho and Winning Post 3.

p93-103
A public service article which teaches gamers the proper way to handle CD-Roms and how to care for precious consoles and accessories. Lens cleaners and dust-away products are recommended.

p165-167
Famitsu takes a tour of ramen restaurants in Japan and shows off the different styles of preparation and presentation in Sapporo, Tokyo, and Fukuoka. Many seem to have slices of roast beef in them although there is one with a dollop of hamburger in the middle.
