Prince of Tennis Sakigake

PS2 Tennis no Oji-Sama: Saikyou Team o Kessei Seyo! - New

Create the strongest high school tennis team by recruiting the best players, train them and pit them against the best players from other high schools. Select a team leader, name your squad, and journey to tournaments at high schools and meets around the country. Each team consists of five players who may be trained by participating in 1 on 1 matches or in doubles. A total of 53 possible players from 8 high schools make up the pool from which to choose your quintet. Teammates who have an affinity for each other will play better and cooperate more freely but two opposite personalities will take more work to play as a cohesive unit. Friendships may be increased during the interaction portions of the game. Practice helps to improve a player's abilities as well as unlock special tennis powers for strong blasts and mighty return volleys.
Moving past the interaction portion of the game, the tennis engine in Saikyou Team is the same one found in Smash Hit! 2 which allows for precise control of the players in singles and doubles sets.

A Prince of Bowling mini-game may be unlocked where players engage in a game on 10 pins on a standard alley. A gallery mode features a collection of artwork from the game. Upon clearing the game, players will receive a special password which may be entered on Konami's POT website to compare against other player teams or even Konami's own elite Prince of Tennis squad.

The boys engage in a doubles set where one player takes care of the fore of the court whilst his partner mans the rear portion of the clay to cover all bounces.
