   The kouma (demons) from the first two Sakura Taisen games resurface in America and its up to a new heroine named Gemini Sunrise and her trusty steed Rally to roust them out. Taking place in the wild west of America circa 1927, Gemini relies only on a sword known as Red Sun and a pistol to do her
work. Steam punks are nowhere to be found...at least until the secret Sakura characters are unlocked. Gemini makes her way from the west coast to the east, completing missions and objectives in each city that she chances upon. Control Gemini in full-blown 3-D action where the crimson-maned heroine rides in real time and slashes and shoots as any member of the Hanagumi is apt to do. A Sakura Taisen V preview DVD is included in every copy of the game.

   Metal Slug 4 came about as the ashes of the original SNK were still simmering and Playmore came on a white horse with a buyout of assets and properties. With the old SNK crew disbanded, Playmore turned to Korean developer Mega Enterprises for a fourth episode in the Slug series.  
   As the story goes, a secretive cabal known as Amadeus seeks to control the world's military computers by way of virus. In order to stop their machinations, a super soldier is summoned to topple their armies and installations. Players choose one of four characters from the ranks consisting of Fio Germi, Marco Rossi, Nadia Cassel, and Trevor Spacey. New vehicles and a new weapon are added to the player arsenal for mighty offensive attacks...
 
 

Tales of Symphonia

   Chosen by the Fates to save her world from certain destruction, Colette Brunel and her friend Lloyd Irving embark on an adventure of mass proportions. The supply of Mana in the world is waning precariously and Colette must find a way to refuel it before catastrophe occurs. Strong character development and the well scripted dialogue between characters
provide an interesting subtext against the overall storyline. The battle system in Symphonia gives manual control over a lead hero such as Lloyd while three comrades are guided by the sensible whims of the programming. Powerful combination attacks may also be enacted for 100+ hits against bosses and other hardened beasts. Every copy of TOS includes a bonus Tales of Rebirth preview DVD with cinemas, art, etc.

   The brothers Elric and friends rejoin together for a cel-shaded 3-D action-adventure game blessed with sharp visuals and crisp gameplay.  Guide Edward through town and battle citizens in real time as he runs up on them. A group of thugs may be standing in the middle of the thoroughfare and
Edward may attack the closest bruiser while the others crowd around. Brother Alphonse provides back up muscle in case it is needed. Edward's gift is the transmutation of metals and substances into objects of war such as a sword, a spear, special shrapnel bombs, defensive barriers, and other useful items in a pinch. Transmutations are accompanied by electric light shows where Edwards spins and sashays like a dervish to create weapons.
 
 

Famitsu Double Disc Extra

  MAG Famitsu Special Double Disc Extra - New Import
   The first batch of the special edition of Famitsu magazine arrived a couple of days earlier than expected and approximately 3/4 of our preorders are shipping today. The remainder should ship by Friday when the rest of our magazines arrive. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any new orders at this time but we will update accordingly if we are able to stock more copies.
   Flipping through the pages of the magazine this morning, we see coverage for upcoming games such as Monster Hunter G, Demento, Biohazard Outbreak File 2, Killer 7, Shadow of Rome, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Capcom Fighting Jam, Rockman X8, Devil May Cry 3 and Viewtiful Joe 2... all of which are also previewed in cinema form on a bonus DVD attached to a cardboard flap on the back of the magazine.
   The main reason that this magazine is currently presold out in Japan however is the playable demo of Biohazard 4 for the Gamecube. We won't spoil anything here but the game looks amazing. Fans will be pleased with the quality of the visuals and haunting aurals...

  ETC General Updates
   Please note that Sakura Taisen V Episode 0 Limited Edition is expected on Thursday or Friday due to late shipping from Sega Direct. PS2 Kengo 3 and Formula One 2004 are also expected later this week.
   PS2 Dance Dance Revolution Festival has been reinstated by Konami to ship on November 18, 2004.
   A complete and final November 2004 import schedule will be posted tomorrow which lists many new additions including the DC re-release of King of Fighters 2002 and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA and PS2. A number of new Best Collection inductees for the PS2 such as Katamary Damashii and Hudson's PC Genjin and Takahashi Meijin no Adventure Island will also be updated.
   Hori's Tales of Symphonia 8M Memory Card is also in stock today for the PS2. Lloyd Irving serves as the "cover" artwork and a bonus memory card case is included in the blister pack which holds up to four cards within its confines. Pricing is set at US$35 and preorders, new orders ship today.
