As a mighty warrior turned doting father, Princess
Maker 2 puts players in charge of a growing teenager
named Olive. Sent from the heavens in gratitude for
the player's military prowess in repelling a demon
army, Olive is only 10 years old at the outset of
the game and very much a blank slate. She'll need a
love, education, work experience, and overall
guidance in order to become an upstanding member of
society when she reaches 18 years of age. In her
early years, Olive will learn basic skills and
develop her constitution, aptitude, and other
attributes.
An entire population of characters in the kingdom all contribute to
helping Olive learn various skills and improve her
popularity, combat acumen, and/or refinement which
in turn help to decide her eventual profession in
life. Once she leans towards a certain vocation and
turns age 14, Olive will attract rivals depending on
her skill sets. For example, if she is a fighter
type, a girl named Anita Cassandra becomes her
thorn. If Olive is more suited for housework, a gal
named Marthia comes knocking as her rival for the
title of domestic doyenne. The graphics in Princess
Maker 2 are much improved over the PC original with
full color and Olive speaks with full vocals. |
