La Pucelle: Hikari no Seijo

PS2 La Pucelle: Hikari no Seijo - New Import

Sweet, sassy, and louder than thou, Prier has just graduated from exorcism school. Armed with a big ego and some skills, Prier is confident in her ability to tackle her chosen job with precocious efficacy. Staking out in the world to make a name for herself and her band of demon hunters called La Pucelle, Prier hopes to play a part in quelling an outburst of demons that have invaded the world.
The game gets things started slowly with a few training missions where bats attack but they're fairly easy to dispatch. Guide La Pucelle crew through a total of 12 chapters where the tactical, grid-based battles gradually become more involved. New to the reissue of La Pucelle is a completely new area and end level boss. Options have been expanded with controller settings, a BGM sampler, and a Game+ option.

SF Anniversary Collection

Region-Free Game

XBX Street Fighter Anniversary Collection - New Import

Capcom bundles Street Fighter II (Upgraded Anniversary version as released on the PS2 a few months ago) and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike in a region-free, Xbox Live compatible release which may be played on USA and Japanese consoles alike. We didn't believe the W-coding news until we tested the game this morning for ourselves.
There is no indication on the back of the game package that the disc is region-free and there's still an NTSC/J designation on there but it works. Capcom showing love to fans.
We tried a match this morning despite the small amount of players online. We experienced server lag when fighting against an Asian/Japan player but once more USA players go online, we expect match performance to improve. All preorders are shipping today, new orders ship in 3-5 days.

NEWS Sony PSP Preorders  - Dec 12 2004

Preorders are now welcome for the Japanese PSP which ships on Dec 12, 2004. Please note that pricing for the PSP is tentative. We received offers from three Japanese suppliers and one Asian supplier overnight and all indications point to heavy demand for the PSP due to the unexpectedly low price of Y19800. If pricing should change in the days and weeks before the Sony PSP ships, we will notify customers before processing any preorders to reconfirm the new price point. It's a hassle to do business in this manner but such is the way of new Japanese hardware launches and the frenzy surrounding them.

We're pricing the regular PSP package at US$255 and the PSP Value Pack at US$295, which includes the Sony carrying satchel and the headphones with remote control. Games are listed at US$49. Please note that all four suppliers just slapped a date of December 12 on every game but Sony has already stated that only twelve titles will ship on Dec 12. We have 21 games listed below but we'll update their dates once we have more information.

Game Sound Museum: Namco

NEWS Game Sound Museum: Namco Collection  - Jan 2005

Manufacturer Megahouse continues the retro game music releases by unleashing another 15 mini-CDs in January 2005. Where the first collection featured tunes from Nintendo's historical library, the second set revisits the songs from Namco's classic games such as Dig Dug, Mappy, Pac-Man, Tower of Druaga, and others.

Each CD will be inserted in a paper envelope and packaged with a foil-wrapped piece of candy in case your sweet tooth flares up while grooving to the oldies. According to preorder details, the music CDs will be packaged in random fashion which will make collecting a complete set something of a conundrum. Preorders are welcome today for delivery in mid-late January.

Biohazard Special Pack

NEWS GC Biohazard Special Pack  - Dec 22, 2004

Capcom has announced a new Biohazard bundle which packs together the Gamecube games Biohazard 0, Biohazard 1, and a trial edition of Biohazard 4. Based on the promotional information, it is unclear if the Biohazard 4 Trial will be the same as the version that was included with the Famitsu Double Disc magazine from a few weeks back. We'll clarify this point once we have more information. Pricing is set at Y4800 or US$49 from NCS and delivery is expected on December 22. Preorders are welcome today to ship on or before the release date.

Dragon Quest VIII Controller

NEWS PS2 Dragon Quest VIII Controller  - Nov 27, 2004

Hori's at it again with one of the hottest limited edition controllers ever created in gaming history. Better than the Soul Controller and the ASCII Fighting Pad Type 2 combined, NCS presents the DQ VIII Controller. Shaped like a cuddly blue Slime, the Dual Shock 2 compatible controller looks like a standard Slime when sitting upright. There's no mistaking those blank eyes and that silly red smile. However, flip it upside down, connect the detachable cord, and it's game-on for Playstation 2 players hankering for some action. Preorders will ship on November 27, 2004 at US$45.

Slim PS2 Racing Pack

  NEWS PS2 SCPH-70000GT Racing Pack - Dec 3, 2004

Sony has announced a new Playstation 2 (slim-line version) bundle which includes a Japanese SCPH-70000 console and a special cover variant version of Gran Turismo 4. When the original SCPH-50000 Racing Pack was released earlier this year for Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, Sony also issued a special edition of GT4 Prologue with the text "Racing Pack" etched across the cover. Pricing is set at Y23800 or US$295 from NCS. Unfortunately, overseas express shipping tends to be expensive. Preorders are expected to ship on December 3, 2004.
