The contents of the package consist of the GTA, an AV cord for connection to a TV and a near useless manual. Thankfully, there is no setup involved and once the AA batteries (not included) are inserted, you're ready to go. NCS plugged in a dusty Famicom Mario Bros game and watched as the screen lit up and the familiar tinny 8-bit sounds filled the room. Screen clarity was better than what we had seen on the GAXE with Theory's bright back-lit TFT and the video from the television connection is stable...and perfect. No criss-cross interference, annoying lines or other artifacts show up on the telly screen, which we were rather pleased with. The cartridge adapter and connection also proved stable with no intermittent glitching as we found in the Game Axe where slight movements would cause the connection to go bad.

There are two joypad ports on the GTA but there are no Famicom controllers in existence which fit the ports. Please wait until we have more information from Mystery on future availability of GTA specific joypads. A contrast dial is located on the upper-right side of the unit but we found the factory setting fine and a volume dial is positioned on the top-left of the GTA.

The Game Theory Admiral only plays Japanese Famicom cartridges. Manufacturer Mystery promises a future adapter which will allow the use of USA NES cartridges but please wait for further news.
