NDS Puyo Puyo Fever

NDS Puyo Puyo Fever - New Import
Sega has invaded all other platforms with Puyo Puyo Fever and it's only natural that the PSP and NDS be stormed as well. Join a new gal named Amitie who replaces the irrepressible Arle Arja as lead munchkin for the Puyo banner. Equally effervescent in every way, Amitie spins, yelps, and does her thing while manipulating Puyos that rain downwards in matches of at least four contiguous colors.
Puyo Puyo Fever adds an aptly named Fever Meter to the game which lies to the side of each gamer's window. It's made up of 7 circles which measure your Fever level and one starts filling up the Fever by offsetting your opponent's combo attacks where little transparent Puyos line up on the top portion of the screen.

PS2 Gran Turismo 4

 PS2 Gran Turismo 4 - New Import (Asian-Japanese Language)
After years of development and delays, Gran Turismo 4 finally reaches the eager hands of video racing aficionados the world over.  After viewing the breathtaking intro, players may select from Arcade Mode or Gran Turismo Mode. If choosing the latter, 10,000 credits are bequeathed and racers are sent on their way. After testing a few cars on a few rolling start races this morning, we're impressed. The overall level of detail is high and the "feel" of the different cars is unique and convincing from the cornering down to the shuddering collisions when running into a wall. After the first race, we paused the game every now and then to take in the backgrounds and examine the intense details that Kazunori's team put into the game. Nice touches include fully functional pit crews, an exhausting amount of tuning/upgrades, two used car dealerships, drift-capable dynamics (there are also tracks tailored for drifting), and LAN battle mode. A Photo-Mode allows for taking screen caps from the GT4 game to 8M memory cards or pen-drives which may then be transferred to PC or printed.
Every copy of Gran Turismo 4 is bundled with a bonus 210-page Reference Guide which features roughly 100 vehicles from the game (car illustration, specs, short synopsis), tuning, and detailed track guides on glossy paper.

PS2 Hajime no Ippo All*Stars

PS2 Hajime no Ippo All*Stars - New Import
Read reams of manga or watch reels of anime and you'll notice a common character archetype used in many feel-good scenarios. There are many variants and branches of this model but they all boil down to a single core concept. Succinctly, we term it the "underdog becomes god" phenomenon where a goofy outcast rises above his oppressors with nothing but inner drive and ability. In the end, the archetype attains all of his goals and the former critics are squarely on his side.

During the transition from geek to god, many travails and tribulations are showered upon the rising hero to showcase his determination and survival instincts. Everyone loves the little engine that could and the story arc takes full advantage of plot twists, rivals, and oppressors who would see the hero to ruin. Hajime no Ippo uses this plot vehicle and though it's scripted so close to standard formulas, the end result is nevertheless enjoyable. Ippo's a weakling and he's picked on by the boys at school. However, he's a boxing fanatic with aspirations of becoming a great boxer. Watching tapes and training to become a pugilist, Ippo eventually achieves greatness.

Hajime no Ippo All*Stars takes fans through Ippo's matches against over 70 boxers from the animation. As in the original story, after completing Mamoru Takamura's test to join the Kamogawa Boxing Club, chief Kamogawa forces Ippo to spar with Miyata, a talented fighter who eventually become's Ippo's arch-rival. The first boxer in All*Stars is a sparring match with Miyata which is followed by a match against Oda. To offer a challenge to everyone, the difficulty level in the game may be set on Easy, Normal, or Hard for virtual pugilists of varying abilities. Along with a large cast of boxers, new custom fighters may be created and then leveled up as they fight through the ranks. In addition to playing as Ippo, players may also choose Aoki, Miyata, Takamura, and others as their virtual boxer.

PS2 KOF '94 Rebout

PS2 King of Fighters '94 Rebout - New Import
Playmore retro-rockets back to 1994, retrieves old KOF code, and zooms back to the present day, updating the original with new high-gloss visuals and an improved game engine. Hot 3-D backgrounds shimmering with animation and special effects add to the eye candy. The old school contingent who are generally content with the original BGM and 2-D backgrounds are not left out. Original content may be toggled for some of that 1994 love. Rebout also represents the first time that KOFighters are able to go online and battle against others across the KDDI multi matching service. To ensure that every online Athena and every Kyo is unique, characters may be color-edited to unique shades and combinations as one sees fit. Although the usual pre-set teams of fighters may be selected, specially made trios may also be created from the original '94 cast and '95 bruisers such as Rugal (Bernstein and Omega versions) and Saisyu Kusanagi (Kyo's poppy).
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the KOF series, every copy of KOF '94 Rebout includes an 81-page mook which contains character profiles, artwork, background on the series, the storyline/storyboard for Rebout, and creator feedback. There's also chronology/details for KOF '94 to '98.

PS2 KOF '94 Rebout Special Pack

TOY Game & Watch Vignette

TOY Nintendo Game 'n Watch Vignette Diorama - New Import
Banpresto vends a collection of four Nintendo Game 'n Watch Vignette Dioramas which may elicit mirth or at least a knowing smile from early 80s gamers. The background of each setting consists of a yellow Game ' Watch faceplate with proper positioning of buttons, LCD and logo. The title of each game is also located on the faceplate. Each diorama recreates a scene from classic Game 'n Watch gaming as follows:

(A) An Octopus is about to choke a helmeted treasure-hunting diver.
(B) A rescuer on a boat saves plummeting Parachute people from Jaws.
(C) Man wearing a Manhole-cover hat saves reckless walkers from peril.
(D) Chef juggles sausage links and kitchen duties while being assailed.

TOY Pinky Monkey Chains

TOY Pinky Monkey Keychain - New Import
Pinky (he's the pink one) and Fresh (white as the driven snow) are mascots for candy company Frente. By being small, curly-tailed, and funny looking, the two monkeys are appealing enough to help Frente move mass quantities of mints in delicious flavors such as peach, grape (reminiscent of grape Fanta), cocktail orange, and other mouth-watering varieties.
To join the Pinky frenzy, Sega releases six keychains which feature three Pinky variants and three Fresh styles. The differences between the six are minor but perhaps crucial enough to spur buying decisions amongst fans.
