NCS Game Synopsis
 ©NCSX▪ Burn rubber and smoke fools in Yuke's racing game where the wrinkle is innate drifting mechanics. For the uninitiated, drifting is where one motors along and then jerks/slides a car sideways while moseying down a track. D1GP features 31 drift racers such as Y. Imamura (white FD3S), N. Kumakubo (red S15), K. Takahashi (red JZX100), and many more. Eleven courses are featured in the game with some examples below:

Tsukuba (Hairpin turns galore, pray for mercy)
Odaiba (One 90-degree turn and a few 180+ degree turns to drift on)
Irwindale (oval-shaped track with one harsh 90-degree turn)
Sugo (Eleven tough turns with some which require 270 degree drifting)

Five game modes may be enjoyed as follows:

1) D1GP - Main tournament mode where one races and drifts against other champions to become the king of D1

2) Tsuchiya Trial - Practice mode to get your drifting skills up to speed. General rotation skills, screeching tires, and a desperate engine sound off during these practice engagements. Very useful for beginners to learn the basics. During each practice run, an animation of how the GT Force Pro wheel should be spun is shown on the lower portion of the screen. Mimic that a few times and you'll be drifting like a pro in no time.

3) Time Attack - Crush a track as fast as possible.

4) Battle - Race against a computer controlled player or a 2nd player while accumulating drift points as well as finishing a track in record time.

5) Survival - Endless opponents show up on the track and each must be beaten.
