Originally debuting last year as a System 246 coin-op, Taito's analog-stick controlled fighting game joins the PS2 library courtesy of Tomy. Whereas the arcade originaly featured 29 Zoids to control, the PS2 version includes over 100 mechanical monsters.

   Seven modes of play including a VERSUS mode, HUNTING mode, and STORY mode. In Story Mode, characters and mechs from Zoids Fuzors appear along with animated cut-scenes where 40 missions are played in succession. Hunting Mode is where players track down Zoids and bag them for the garage. Collecting more Zoids will make new arms and parts available to the player. As one progresses through the game, weapon power ups and parts customization may bolted onto a Zoid to enhance its arsenal and performance in battle. In 2-Player mode, the screen is split horizontally with each player viewing the action from a personal vantage point - just like the arcade original.
   Tomy gave away a special Zoids figure with the game in Japan but unfortunately we didn't receive any in today's shipment. We'll update our customers if we receive them later due to a supplier/warehouse oversight.

   In the 1920s, the Tokyu Corporation started developing its rail lines in southwest Tokyo and essentially designed its own ridership along the way. Housing projects were built up along the railway tracks to ensure that as the city's population grew, the railway would be situated close to housing and in turn, millions of passengers. Take control of a train and guide it through kilometers of track as you escort daily riders to their appointed rounds.

Three main routes are available to test one's train conducting skills

1) Den'en Toshi Line - From Shibuya (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) to Chuo Rinkan (Yamato City, Kanagawa) (Total distance 31.5km)

2) Toyoko Line - From Shibuya (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) to Yokohama (Nishi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa) (Total distance 24.2km) <more>

   Since retro games were the rage a few years back, retro controllers appear to be the current trend. At least for the fleeting moment. Sega releases a joystick styled after the old Neo Geo stick which should appeal to fans of old gaming ergonomics/nostalgia/etc/whatever.
   There's a clicky joystick on the left but only four main buttons on the right (from bottom to top, they are: SQUARE, X, TRIANGLE, O) as a proper homage to the original controller. The Dual Shock 2 trigger buttons are mapped to the four little sliver buttons seen to the south and east of the main buttons.
