PS1 Dragon Quest IV JPN

   When monsters kidnap children in the land of Batlando, the king summons soldiers to the castle and charges them with the rescue of the hapless tykes. Take control of a soldier in the first chapter, Otenba Oujo (princess) in the second chapter, and two other characters in the next couple of chapters. The two final chapters feature the entire team working together towards a common goal of defeating an evil king about to be resurrected. 
   The remake of Dragon Quest IV updates the 8-bit Famicom original with Dragon Quest VII elements such as a polygonal world map, a 360° capable camera, animated monsters, a Monster Notebook, and improved visuals.  

   The PSone Books version of DQIV is identical to the original release except for the PSone Books labeling. The game itself remains unchanged.
 
 

PS1 Star Ocean 2 JPN

   Ensign Claude Kenni is investigating an energy field on the planet Milocinia when his impatient nature causes him to be transported to the planet Expel. Once there, he meets a native Expellian named Rena Lanford who mistakes him for a hero of sorts and asks for his aid in saving the planet. According to the locals, an asteroid hit the planet three months ago and unleashed hordes of demons. What was once a paradise has turned into a harsher reality. Use special items, eat favorite foods, and wield weapons in Claude's adventure to save the world of Expellian.
   The PSone Books version of Star Ocean contains two CDs and is identical to the original release except for the PSone Books label and packaging. The game itself remains unchanged.
