   Over a decade ago, warriors of the night began their battles and set hearts afire. Or something like that. With a mini Vamp revival of sorts going on currently, Capcom reaches into the archive vault and gathers together all five Vampire coin-op games and burns them on one DVD. The contenders:

Vampire (1994) - The original 10 Dark Stalkers start stalking
Vampire Hunter (1995) - Features auto guard mode and two new fighters
Vampire Saviour (1997) - Dark Force system and Bulleta introduced
Vampire Hunter 2 (1997) - Fighters are balanced for well rounded matches
Vampire Saviour 2 (1997) - Donovan, Phobos, and Pyron are back...

The game modes:

Arcade Mode: Test your skills against the CPU
Versus Mode: Battle against your friend who happens to be in the room
Training Mode: You are not ready. You must practice.
Option: Set controller buttons, adjust screen ratio, listen to BGM
Art Gallery: A nice collection of Vampire artwork, advertisements, etc. 

   Along with the Vampire game, NCS also stocks the Saturn pad - Vampire version, which arrived yesterday. The pad is colored a dark purple to match Lilith's color scheme and the package includes a deck of 16 Vampire character trading cards along with a little decal.

   Sega's website features two photos which demonstrate the proper use of the Vampire pad. There's a right way and a wrong way. Figure it out.

 GBA Bura Bura Donkey - New Import
   King K. Rool has stolen all of the medals to be used in the Jungle King competition and it's up to Donkey Kong to swing into action. Guide the big ape in a mission of recovery to retrieve bronze, silver, and gold medals before the big competition is ruined. Bura Bura Donkey features a simple play mechanic where the "L" and "R" triggers control movement as well as Donkey Kong's gripping hands. To move left, hold the "L" trigger and to shuffle right, hold the "R" trigger. To force a jump, hold both triggers down until DK shines a bit and release to send him leaping.
 
   The levels in the game are made up of pegs and pegboards which Kong grips with his hands. While floating in midair after a jump, the "R" trigger causes DK's right hand to grip a peg and the "L" trigger does the same for his left hand. After grabbing a peg, DK orbits around it and uses forward momentum to leap from peg to peg. Using just the triggers, one may guide DK in magnificent fashion through entire levels. After a few minutes of practice, players will soon jump from peg to peg in smooth, jungle king fashion.

   Hori's new Anasin 2 2.4GHz wireless joypad may be used within a range of approximately 10 meters from the pad to PS2. The controller features turbo-fire with a slider to increase/decrease the rapidity of fire from standard to 5-shots per second all the way up to 20-shots/sec. A vibration function is built-in for those who enjoy the shakes while playing which may be turned on/off to conserve batteries. Three color variants are available - metallic hues of black, blue, and red. Hori's promotional material cites up to 100 hours of use on a pair of AA batteries thanks to the built-in power saving function. All preorders are shipping today. New orders are welcome.
