PLEASE READ: The NEW SHOP is separate and distinct from the OLD SHOP. If you place an order on the OLD SHOP, you will not be able to use the NEW SHOP to check on your order and vice versa. Unfortunately, we were not able to resolve the two shop databases in order to transfer customer histories and accounts. Both shops are fully operational and capable of taking orders.

Sony PS3 Press Release

Random Thoughts
The sleek design of the PS3 is reminiscent of the PC-Engine Duo-RX.
The boomerang controller design has been used by other manufacturers with moderate sales success. The elongated grips are perfectly fine if you have more than 5 fingers on each hand. For mere mortals however, the extra 2-3" of grip is a waste of plastic.
Estimated launch price after shameless, rapacious markups: US$950.

Nintendo Revolution

 NEWS Nintendo Revolution - Peek
Bits of news on Nintendo's next console have wafted out before the press conference this morning in Los Angeles. Revolution will be backward compatible with Gamecube software, play movie DVDs, and software will be mastered on standard DVDs instead of a proprietary format.
Similar to the Playstation 2 and 3, the Revolution may be positioned vertically or horizontally. The Revolution is also described as being "two or three times more powerful than GameCube." Nintendo has also mentioned a free online matching service which will include downloadable images of  Nintendo software including the original Donkey Kong and more recent titles such as Mario Sunshine. It's unclear if downloads will be stored temporarily in system ram or to flash ram/HDD. Details should be released in a few hours once the press conference starts.
