TOYS Radio Control Mario JPN

TOYS Radio Control Mario - Preorder for December 2005
Banpresto has started preorders for a radio-controlled Mario and a Goomba figure which are tethered by wire to a Nintendo Famicom control pad. The figures measure 4cm or approximately 1.5" tall and move when commanded by the control pad. For example, holding the "A" button on the controller will send Mario scuttling forward in the direction that he is currently facing. Press the D-Pad to the left and depress the "A" button and Mario will walk to the left. Sadly, Mario is incapable of moving backwards but he is able to move in a circular motion as long as the tether is lengthy enough to afford him movement... Preorders will ship in mid-late December 2005.

TOYS Mario Mouse JPN

ETC Mario Mouse for PC - Preorder for December 2005
Novelty mice for PCs never really made a splash in the marketplace. One reason may be the ergonomics of a mouse crafted like a hamburger hardly make for comfortable web surfing or extensive sessions of one's latest gaming addiction. To add to the crop of uncomfortable novelty mice, Banpresto has announced Mario and Goomba versions which may appeal to retro Famicom fans. The promotional sheet for the mice lists compatibility with PCs only but since there are no special software drivers, we're guessing that they'll work with Macs as well. Preorders are welcome today to ship in mid-late November 2005.
