Gamera 40th Anniversary
 NEWS Gamera 40th Anniversary - Shipping Dec 2005
   Forty years ago, an enormous bug-eyed turtle stunned audiences with its debut in the movie Daikaiju Gamera. The Daiei movie studio originally embarked on a movie about giant rats invading Tokyo. Those plans were scrapped when gangs of fleas from the rats infested the studio and production stopped. The sets had been built already however... and the next logical monster to terrorize Tokyo would be a rubber turtle.
   Fast forward forty years and many movies later, Kadokawa Pictures has announced the release of "Gamera: Little Braves" for spring of 2006 and a flood of new toys is being prepared. Konami has started preorders for a Gamera 40th Anniversary SF Figure Collection which features 6 standard beasts and 1 secret figure. Two forms of Gamera are included in the set.
