PS2 The Kung-Fu - Simple 2000 Vol. 82 - New Import

Living life as a yokel in a small village in China, the protagonist in The Kung-Fu is a ne'er do well who would be content with the simpler things in life. One day, a master of kung-fu appears in front of the player and offers to teach him a secret style of fighting. Can a peasant with little ambition become the best thing since Bruce Lee?    Designed in the style of a kitschy kung-fu movie with familiar archetypes such as the evil enemy, oaths of revenge, and rising above adversity, players chop through four kung-fu capers. The action is simple with an attack move, a jump, and a block move to fend off blows. In addition to using fists and feet of fury, combat techniques with a bo-stick and other simple weapons are also possible to sweep gangs off their feet. When no weapons are available, benches may be picked up with both hands and used as an temporary weapon until something better comes along.    Every student of kung-fu needs to train and hone his skill with ludicrous exercises and the hero in Kung-Fu is not exempt from the rule. Mini-games include chicken catching, wood chopping, and the cracking of a massive cauldron. A total of 10 mini-games are available.    To add to the authenticity of the atmosphere, the voices in the game are authentic Cantonese (Guangdong dialect) for an added bit of local flavor.
