 MAG Famitsu Wave DVD Oct 2005 - New Import
   Diverging from their PS2-centric coverage, owing to the fact that most games are released on the PS2, the October issue of Famitsu Wave DVD offers some excellent Xbox 360 footage. The official Dead or Alive 4 trailer (yes, shuddering breasts are back) is included on one of the two DVDs bundled with the issue along with trailers for upcoming Xbox 360 games such as Rogue Galaxy, Rumble Roses XX, Frame City, Enchant Arm, Shinobido Imashime, and a general feature on Microsoft's wunderkind.
   The other games featured in the magazine and on the DVDs are: NDS Viewtiful Joe Scratch, Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth, Heavy Metal Thunder, Code Age Commanders, and World of Warcraft.
   General interest features on the DVD include an exploratory trip to a banjo shop, an interview with the creators of the Fatal Frame series and a look at the most recent release - Rei: Shisei no Koe, Winning Eleven 9 gameplay movies, the usual game challenges between Famitsu editors and readers, and a disturbing bit of Ape Escape 3 cosplay. All in all, another keeper of an issue that should appease fans hungry for Xbox 360 coverage.

   Bolt Hori's Face Cover Portable to the two screw holes on top of the PSP and it is automatically protected by a smooth-plastic flip-top. Once the face of the PSP is entirely covered, it is protected from bird droppings, flies, rain, and other things that whiz through the air.
   When the Face Cover Portable is attached, note that the PSP will no longer fit inside the standard PSP carrying case or other slim cases such as the Bleach 2 case that arrived yesterday. We're still able to fit the PSP inside an Aero Case and Hori's own Portable Pouch without squeeze issues. Pricing is set at US$9.50 and preorders will ship today.

 NDS Rockman EXE DS Carrying Pouch - New Import
   To commemorate the release of the Rockman EXE5 DS: Twin Leaders game last month (yes, it's a bit late), Hori ships a blue Rockman EXE carrying pouch which holds a Nintendo DS unit safely within its cushiony confines. In addition to the NDS unit, there is enough space to hold the power adapter, a few games, and a stylus or five. Three types of loops or straps are attachable to the pouch to allow for versatility in how a mobile player carries the pouch and precious contents. As a bonus for Rockman fans, an exclusive Rockman EXE blue retractable stylus is included inside the blister packaging.

 NEWS Dust Cap PS2 and Video Recorder PSP  - Preorder
   With dust wafting everywhere and getting into everything, it's only natural that accessories designed to keep dust out of select orifices be sold in the marketplace. After the successful sales of PSP and NDS dust caps, Gametech ships similar caps for the slim PS2 console which stopper up exposed ports that are not in use including the USB slot, memory card slots, joypad ports, and so on. The caps are particularly useful if a console won't be used for a few weeks and it's too bothersome to pack it away in a cardboard box.

   Originally announced in April of this year and then delayed, RockRidge Sound's VRX-02 video recorder for writing MP4 movie files is apparently on again for delivery in September. Plug a Memory Stick Duo into the storage slot, connect the VRX-02 to a television receiver or DVD-player and spool a feed directly from either source that's readily playable on the PSP. Three output streams are available: Super Fine (320x240 at 30fps), Fine (320x240 at 15fps), and Normal (176x144 at 15 fps). The VRX-02 accepts a composite AV signal and supported encoding formats include MPEG-4, 3GPP, 3GPP2, ASP MP4, and Mobile Movie.

The game guide is very comprehensive and checks out the contents if the CD-Roms, introduces the characters, profiles the enemies, and then takes readers through the game in exacting fashion. For the sake of completeness, two pages of Biohazard merchandising shows what's for sale and another four pages refers readers to games that are somewhat similar to Biohazard.
