NEWS Import Outlook - Arrivals on Wed-Thurs

A sprinkling of late October and November 2005 preorders were opened up last night with PS2 Beatmania IIDX 10th Style likely to generate the most interest. Publisher Genki of drift racing fame tries their hand at a 3D battlefield game in Ikusa Gami which takes place in 1543 when a league of demons join the Warring States with a little warfare of their own. Genki touts a massive 60,000+ combatants in each stage and 10,000 hit combos. For gamers who can't get enough of "non-games" on the Nintendo DS, Interchannel has started preorders for three brain stimulators which are targeted at adults. We've translated them to Shichida Right Brain Training DS - Victory or Defeat at that Moment! but we reserve the right to refine the title if necessary until it rolls off the tongue.

Manufacturer Unifive has announced three more products based on the Nintendo Dot Graphics theme. To the left, Dot Graphics Keychains which feature an old school motif and a Famicom controller attached to a ring. Press a button on the controller and a jingle will sound off. To the right, three more Dot Graphics Towels - the "Game Over" towel might have unpredictable reactions if used on a nude beach. Finally, Cellphone Straps (not pictured) are also open for preorder.

NEWS General Updates

Earlier in the month, Japanese distributors moved the ship date for Fire Pro Wrestling Returns from September 15 to September 29. As of last night, the date has now changed back to September 15. With the release date in 2 weeks, this should be the final change and the game should ship on time. If there are any new changes posted in the next few days, we will update our customers with more information.

System maintenance will be performed on our shop at www.ncsxshop.com on Sunday September 4, 2005 from 1:01 AM to 5:00 AM EST. During this period, there may be brief outages and or processing delays.

PS2 Heavy Metal Thunder was the sole new import that was released last night to distributors and is expected to arrive tomorrow. The other new imports for this week are now all scheduled to arrive on Thursday.

We will have an affiliate program starting up in the next few days. We'll post up additional details on signing up once its ready. We had originally tried developing a proprietary system with a systems provider but data issues, reporting problems, and DELAYS derailed that plan...
