 TOYS Cool Girl Motoko - Ninja Suit Version - New Import
    Major Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell fame inspires a Cool Girl figure where the Section 9 cyborg operative is dressed in tight, form fitting ninja duds. To add to her street cred, a pair of Matrix-ish shades are packaged alongside the figure in a long window-pane package. Measuring approximately 11" tall, Motoko is fully posable which allows her to crouch, reach for the sky, crawl, etc. Her hands may grip weapons and she appears ready to take on an entire militia of androids. Two replacement gloved hands are packaged with the figure along with the following weapons, which are mounted on the flipside of the carton's flap behind another window-pane:

TOYS Samurai Domokun JPN
 TOYS Domokun Samurai Plush  - New Import
  Domokun, Usaji, and Ta-chan garb themselves in the clothing of Edo era Japan and represent the really old school. Each plush measures 20cm tall or roughly 7.87" from top to toe and are all decked out in detailed clothing styles. Domokun, the brown beast, appears in two renditions - one in samurai armor and the other in a guard uniform with a floppy spear. The facial expression in both incarnations is unmistakable Domokun - lots of teeth and an big red mouth. Usaji opens his arms... for no reason and Ta-chan, the girl weasel who aspires to become a model stands in tempered repose. Ta-chan doesn't have the body for modeling but her boyish figure may allow her to pose for farm equipment catalogs.
 
 

TOYS Mai Shiranui JPN
 TOYS Mai Shiranui 1/8 Scale Figure - New Import
   Max Factory ships a new 1/8 scale Mai Shiranui figure where the fan-wielding fighter wears her trademark outfit with billowing sash flowing. We weren't too impressed with the recent Kotobukiya 1/7 scale Mai figure which was sculpted by Hironori Tokunaga. In that version, Mai was sculpted a bit chubbier and rounder than what we envision Mai to be about. Max Factory's version is a svelte, sleeker, and sharper edged model.

   Mai ships in a window paned cardboard box where the figure is packed in a plastic molded berth. Although sculpted to 1/8 scale, the exact measurements of the figure is 10" tall. Details that may not be visible from the photo is a braided rope which criss-crosses Mai's back and wraps around her shoulders before being tied in a knot in front of her left shoulder. A pink/white button accessory is included with the figure along with a pedestal which sprouts a peg to dock Mai's right leg into for display purposes.

   All preorders will ship today. We have a small buffer quantity for new orders to ship this afternoon. We expect to restock the figure by late September if/when we sell out.

 TOYS Naruto Plushes (Code 42794) - New Import
   The familiar Naruto crew of (A) Sasuke, (B) Naruto, and (C) Kakashi are joined by two beasts named (D) Gamakichi and (E) Pakkun. The plushes measure approximately 15cm (5.90") tall and are filled with little beanies to give them weight and structure. Thanks to the beanies and accommodating center of gravities, all of the plushes may be sat upwards without additional support. To add to the touch and feel sensation of the pellets inside their bodies, the ninja and beasts wear a mix of cloth and plastic clothing for a unique combination of feelies. All preorders will ship today and new orders are welcome at US$10.50 per plush.

 TOYS Pac-Man Cushions - New Import
  Looking more like a massive cheesecake than Namco's legendary eater, the Pac-Man cushion serves as a resilient pillow/futon/seat to lounge upon. Stack five on top of each other to create a Pac-Man tower which may be useful as a stool or lay them side by side to create a makeshift mattress for munchkins and other little beings. Sadly, Namco refuses to include any dot plushes for those who would recreate Pac-Man in their living rooms. Two sizes are available: A 25cm cushion (9.84") and a 35cm big'un (13.77").
 
 

TOYS Transformers Coll. 20 JPN
 TOYS Transformers Collection 20  - New Import
  Char (listed as Chear inside the box) and Wheelie serve as the robots for the twentieth Transformers Collection reissue. Both robots were originally released in 1986 but find their way back into the market nearly two decades later. 

   Char morphs from boxy green bot to a stunted automobile while Wheelie performs the same neat trick, changing from an orange robot to a streamlined racer. As a third bonus, a Recoil Target Master toy is including with the other two vehicles. Recoil may shift from robot mode to blaster which may then be gripped by Char. A green musket laser is also included inside the package for Char to grip. All preorders are shipping today and new orders are welcome at US$39 each.

 NEWS General Updates
  Huge boxes of toys made it in today but our shipments of import software are still in Alaska. We're assuming that some workers are enjoying an extended Labor Day weekend at our expense. As such, every new import expected this week is now scheduled to arrive tomorrow. We did learn overnight that all preorders for the Fighting for One Piece game will include a bonus keychain. We'll throw up some photos tomorrow. 
   Due to the import delay, please also note that all backorders for NDS Jump Superstars are now rescheduled to ship out on Thursday.
 
 

Tachikoma with Motoko Kusanagi
 TOYS Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd GIG Series 1 - Preorder  
  Preorders are welcome for a Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd GIG Series 1 Tachikoma with Motoko Kusanagi figure which will ship in mid-late Oct 2005. Manufacturer Wave has scaled the Tachikoma and Motoko to 1/24 scale and although the Tachikoma ships in kit form, it may be put together by way of snap-lock assembly. Perfect for those averse to glue...
   Pricing is set at a very friendly Y1800 but due to import costs and carriage, please note that NCS is forced to sell the toy for US$26. Distributors in Japan will close preorders on Sept 16 but we have submitted our reservation.
