PSP Densha de Go! Yamanote JPN

PSP Densha de Go! Pocket Yamanote-Sen-Hen - New Import
The Yamanote Line plays an important role in the life of the average citizen in Tokyo. A circular track which touches all of Tokyo's major cities, the Yamanote Line brings someone from the bustling Shinjuku Station all the way to Akihabara for a jaunt to Akihabara Electric Town or any one of the other 28 stops. If one were to stay on the train for a round trip, it would take roughly an hour from start to finish.

Step into the shoes of a conductor under the employ of the East Japan Railway Company and practice your train handling skills by pulling into stations properly, maintaining speeds, obeying signals, and ferrying all passengers to their appointed rounds on time. A trip from Shinjuku to Akihabara takes roughly 32 minutes and you're expected to maintain this schedule to perfection. Skillful train conducting leads to a higher class ranking and title designation. Improper actions will lead to demerits and eventual banishment if too many are racked up during the course of a trip.

In addition to the standard from inside the cockpit view of the action, there's also an outside view. For free spirits who refuse to be bound by time limits and duties, there's an Enjoyment Mode where one may throttle the train at one's own pace without having to worry about the minute by minute schedule. A museum mode checks out trains on the Yamanote Line which are unlocked after certain conditions are met.

PSP Gallery Fake JPN

PSP Gallery Fake - New Import
Reiji Fujita once worked at The Met or Metropolitan Museum of Art as an administrative director but because of dastardly circumstances, the art expert was fired and has since started a gallery. Known as Gallery Fake, the squat building sits in an industrial district near a pier in Tokyo and is named appropriately for the reproductions of masterpieces that Reiji purveys. The business would be entirely humdrum were it not for the curator of Takada Museum accusations. Sayako Mitamura asserts that Reiji deals in the resale of stolen paintings and uses Gallery Fake as a clever coverup. Assisting Reiji at the gallery is Ms Sara Halifa who learns about the art world under Reiji's tutelage and auspicious umbrella.

The PSP Gallery Fake game starts off in a gallery where two silhouetted figures are discussing Van Gogh's Sunflowers painting that was purchased by Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance Company, Ltd for $39 million in March 1987. One is a policeman and the other is Sayoko Mitamura. The art appreciation continues until Sayoko notices something amiss in the painting...

Some background information: In the second episode of the Gallery Fake animation, there's a flashback where lead Fujita helps Sayoko Mitamura determine that her newly acquired "Sunflowers" by Van Gogh is a fake but eventually gives her the real painting in exchange for the fake <more>

PS2 Train Simulator KS JPN

PS2 Train Simulator: Kyushu Shinkansen - New Import
When a rider on Kyushu Island is in a hurry, the fastest method of transportation between two points short of air flight is the bullet train or Shinkansen. Operated by Japan Railways, the Shinkansen run on a track network that is separate from other lines. The Kyushu Shinkansen which connects Yatsushiro with Kagoshima debuted in March 2004. A connection from Yatsushiro to Hakata is in development and expected to be completed by 2012. The trains which run on the Kyushu Shinkansen are known as Tsubame which translates to "Swallow" and refers to the title of the former Hakata-Kagoshima Limited Express service. The Kyushu Shinkansen runs 249km between Fukuoka and Kagoshima and pass scenic routes.

Take charge as a Shinkansen operator and guide a mighty nub-nosed behemoth from standstill to speeds of 260 km/h or 160 mph which traverses the distance between Kagoshima and Yatsushiro in 35 minutes. When the northern portion of the Kyushu Shinkansen is completed, the distance between Hakata and Kagoshima will be crossed in a little under 2 hours. Be mindful of the times since successful completion of each trip will only be accomplished by keeping pin-point timing and schedules.
