NDS Londonian Gothics JPN

NDS Londonian Gothics: Meikyuu no Lolita - New Import
A labyrinth located beneath a stately manse in olde London serves as the setting for Londian Gothics. Take control of a blonde heroine named Alice who plays the part of spelunker and monster destroyer. At the outset, Alice wears a poofy dress that's akin to a customized maid's outfit but she may sew new dresses on a sewing machine which have magical abilities. One dress - a shoulderless black number - will allow Alice to turn small to pass through small crevices and then turn big again once on the other side. A red dress that Alice may sew up will allow her to teleport from location to location which is useful when monsters attack en masse.
When Alice roams the dungeon, the view is from an isometric <more>

PS2 Code Age Commanders JPN

PS2 Code Age Commanders + Bonus Visual Code - New Import
Part of a three-pronged blitz on the Japanese marketplace, Code Age Commanders is a manga, a cellphone game, and a PS2 action-adventure.
Code Age begins with a shimmering animation of aquatic life - dolphins turtles, whales swim through the deep blue. A voice over begins, accompanied by a sketch of what looks like a proto coelacanth followed by another strange fish creature. The camera then pans above the clouds to take in the splendor of a city below and two green airships course through the air. There's a quick jerky zoom to a silvery city in the sky followed by a comical animation of main characters and supporting cast performing acrobatic moves and other wacky stunts.
Upon pressing start, the game sets up a data file on the memory card and options pop up which allow for toggling rumble on the DS, setting Dolby Pro Logic II, centering the screen, and other helpful customization ops.
The second intro shows a desert circa the year 0099. The wrecked hulks of dead airships litter the sands. Amidst the devastation, the camera eventually peers in on a blue haired girl, seemingly asleep, in one of the crashed ships. The scene changes to a flashback of the girl and her brother Gene on a ship headed towards the silvery city in the sky. Suddenly, an attack <more>

PS2 Critical Velocity JPN

PS2 Critical Velocity - New Import
CV starts off with a hazy scene as the camera pans down on a city street amidst the throes of sunset. The camera then changes to a gal seated in a sporty speedster while police sirens sound off. More sporty cars join in like a scene out of Fast 'n Furious with racers rolling and weaving throughout city streets. There's a roiling collision between a cop car and a racer but the two leads in the game fly off into the sunset.
The first mission begins with a rolling start. The objective is to chase two gals named Hope and Diana through a bustling city and crash into the police cars to stop them from catching the girls. Cars may be hit from behind, from the side, or blocked from passing. Early in the mission, the racers and the chasers have to plow through a red light where a big flatbed truck is moving through. While the girls will fly right through (according to script), cop cars may get jammed and block your progress. Falter in your mission to chase the girls and provide escort service and the cops will eventually damage their vehicle enough to end the level.
When crashing into other cars, they'll bounce back with sudden recoil and explode from their hoods. When hitting a car from behind, you can send it careening into a wall for kicks and giggles. Watch as the buster <more>

PS2 Rasetsu Alternative JPN

PS2 Rasetsu Alternative + Bonus Book - New Import
The Japanese word "Rasetsu" is a transliteration of the Sanskrit "Rakshasa" which can refer to either a demon or a benign demigod. The mercenaries in Rasetsu Alternative fit more in line with the former meaning of the word than the latter. Played similarly to real time strategy simulations such as Warcraft or Command 'n Conquer, gamers marshal mercenaries on an isometric battlefield and fire fight on the fly. Rasetsu Alternative <more>

Only Rain

It's still raining hard in New York which makes it a week of rain thus far. According to the local weathermen, the deluge will continue until Saturday. When the ceiling in one of our hallways sprung a leak late yesterday afternoon, the building management came to the rescue not with a plumber or a roofing specialist but a blue basin. We knew we could count on them. There's a reason why we refer to building management as "Masters of the Universe."
Naruto Gekitou Ninja 4

We expect to open preorders for the latest Gamecube version of Naruto in the next few days. Just waiting on Tomy to confirm the ship date of December 31 with distributors in Japan. There's probably going to be a preorder bonus like all other Naruto games.
