   The limited edition of Atelier Marie + Elie is packaged with a 7.08" tall diorama of the two alchemists where they lounge in front of a workstation with a kiln. On the top shelf of the workstation sits two flasks of varying size, a red hardcover book, and a white mortar. On the mantle of the workstation are two more volumes (since the girls have to look up their concoctions), a beaker, and other assorted tools of alchemists. Elie hefts a decanter filled with reddish liquid while Marlone eyeballs a flask that she's holding in her right hand. Marlone's wearing a black bra and skirt which shows a little leg while Elie is more conservative and covers herself from head to toe. All preorders ship today, new orders are welcome.

   Matron saint of pachinko parlors throughout Japan, Rio blesses all those harried salarymen and washerwomen alike with her auspicious presence. To capitalize even more on the current Rio obsession, Tecmo has started preorders for a wide array of Rio merchandise. We focus on some of the ludicrously expensive ones today.   
   To the left, two versions of a lifesize Rio pillow which is packaged 2 per manufacturer case. This means costly shipping rates from overseas although dimensions were not listed on the preorder solicitation. Pricing is set at Y15000 each or roughly ~US$130. Maybe there's grains of gold in there somewhere.
   Next up, two varieties of Rio pillowcases. Again, only two are packaged per manufacturer case. Pricing you ask? Y10000 each or roughly US$87. Finally, two varieties of Rio towels which are packaged 6 per case. Pricing is set at Y6000 each or roughly US$52. Close your mouth.

   Japanese artist Satoshi Urushihara created the Front Innocent OVA to appeal to fans of the female bosom. To reinforce this idea, Moon Rock's website for Front Innocent has a section called "Whose Bust?" where a visitor is to identify a character from the OVA only by leering at five pairs of breasts. No faces or other identifying marks. Just the breasts, please.
   The storyline of Front Innocent takes place during the Civil War in America where a farmer raises a beautiful daughter named Sophia by himself since mother died long ago. However, a despotic landlord exacts a toll on the little family when he catches sight of the growing Sophia and lecherous thoughts enter his head...
   Manufacturer makeplus has opened up preorders for a Sophia figure where the blonde maiden sits with legs tucked underneath her while her hands fall flat to the floor. Up on top, her blonde locks sprout from the top of her head and slightly lower, pendulous attributes are bare for the world to peep. The size of the PVC pre-painted figure measures 110mm from top to bottom and delivery is expected in mid-late January 2006.

   Hot on the heels of Bunny Girl (Bome Vol. 7), Kos-Mos (Bome Vol. 8), and Eclair & Lumiere (Bome Vol. 9), Kaiyodo starts preorders for the tenth figure in the Bome series - Carmine.
   Hailing from the Magical Kanan hentai series, Carmine is the sexy alter-ego of heroine Chihaya Hiragi. In her normal human form, Chihaya is a normal young woman with mundane aspirations. However, her life takes a turn when a warrior from the mystical land of Ever Green recruits her as a fellow fighter of Seeds which morph men into demons. Now that she's hooked up with Natsuki, Chihaya changes into a powerful warrior of love named Carmine whenever she kisses him or has relations. She'll need her newfound powers to battle massive tentacles, rival women, and other otherworldly threats. The Carmine Bome figure measures 15cm tall and preorders will ship in February 2006 at Y3800 or US$39 from NCS.

 TOYS Monsieur Bome Vol. 11 - Preorder
   Hot on the heels of Bunny Girl (Bome Vol. 7)... never mind. The eleventh Monsieur Bome figure features the wild and tawny Oni-Musume She Devil (Repaint Version). Fans of the Bome series of figures may recall that She Devil appeared in Bome Vol. 3 but her hair was pink and her stripe-print leotards were yellow. After that fiery debut, She Devil undergoes a repaint where her tresses are now a pastel blue and her leotard and skivvies match the hue of her hair. Her skin is also now a bronze shade versus the pinkish flesh tone in her original incarnation. She's still sitting in the spread-eagled position that Bome fans have come to know and perhaps love. She Devil was also presented in normal and repaint versions in the Bome Vol. 1 figure but that was a standing She Devil.
   The Oni-Musume She Devil Bome Repaint figure measures 15cm tall and preorders will ship in February 2006 at Y3800 or US$39 from NCS.

 TOYS Namco Memories - Preorder
   Inspired by the Dot-Pin toys from Tomy, Japanese manufacturer Unifive licensed some Namco retro classics and birthed "Namco Memories" dot graph toys. Instead of using little pins to create scenes however, the Namco Memories toys feature a pegboard with holes (7 x 5) where objects are inserted into. For example, in the Dig Dug dot graph toy, there's a Pooka character which is plugged into any one of the 35 holes and Dig Dig which goes into any other one of the 35 holes. Plug two characters in and you're done. Each pegboard measures 7 x 9cm and six types will be available to ship in March 2006 as follows: Galaxian / Xevious / New-Rally X / Mappy / Dig Dug / Tower of Druaga. Pricing is set at US$6.50 each.

   Bandai hitches onto the Final Fantasy Advent Children merchandising blitz by releasing "FFVII Advent Children Swing Figures" which feature the main characters from the FFVII AC DVD with a little keychain loop attached to the top of their heads. The loop may also be hung on a nail and swung. Get it? Swing. Swung. Never mind... Each figure measures 7cm (2.75") tall and the five characters are Cloud, Tifa, Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo.

Shop Resurrection
   The old NCS shop is back from the dead. It actually returned on Tuesday evening but the DNS propagation didn't flesh out until Wednesday night. Everything seems to be working fine and all preorders/orders/records are intact. There was a tinge of trepidation here when news reports warned of the possibility of 1 month wait times before electricity was restored to areas in Florida affected by hurricane Wilma.
Laggards of the Week
   Due to late releases to distributors in Japan, please note that the remainder of this week's new imports are now scheduled to arrive tomorrow or on Monday. We still dream of efficient distribution in Japan where one shipment a week covers everything instead of costly multiple shipments bulked up by 12.5% fuel surcharges and handling fees.
Portable LCD for Slim PS2
   Hori has started preorders for a Ceramic White version of their Compact TFT Monitor 2 which clips onto the slim PS2 console and flips up to provide a somewhat portable viewing experience. Delivery is expected in mid-Dec.
