Wi-Fi Detection Meter
   CyberGadget has started preorders for a Wi-Fi hotspot detector which snoops out islands of WLAN connectivity in hotels, train stations, and airports. For indoors, the search distance is 15 meters but take it outdoors and it's range expands to 150 meters. The strength of a signal is indicated by a row of three LEDs on the top of the detector - the large green LED glows when the force is strong. If the signal is weak or non-existent, the red LED on the bottom will light up when attempting to detect Wi-Fi connections. The unit runs on two CR2032 batteries and weighs a scant 17.8 grams. Pricing is set at Y4500 or US$49 from NCS. Delivery is expected in late December 2005.

Cyber Bag Micro
   More pouches for the Gameboy Micro aren't really needed at this point but CyberGadget has opened up preorders for another pouch which provides a cushiony container for the GBM and a few games or accessories. The GBM sits within a main receptacle while a second slot accepts carts, headphones, or game instruction booklets. The top flap seals by way of velcro and a heavy duty latch on the back of the pouch hooks into a belt loop or strap. Preorders will ship in early December 2005 at the price of Y750 or US$10.

   Medicom has started preorders for Star Wars Storm Trooper Kubricks which feature Luke Skywalker and Han Solo in the regulation issue armor of the Empire's foot soldiers. Each figure is being sold under the Kubrick 400% label with a measurement of 28cm or 11.02" tall. As shown in the photos, the Storm Trooper helmets are removable to show the stoic Luke or the smirking Han.
 
   The production will be limited to only 2,000 pieces of each figure and the retail price is Y7700 or US$85 from NCS. Preorders are welcome today to ship in mid-late December 2005.
