Synopsis
Glide into the shoes of an aspiring manga artist who
hopes to become the next
Rumiko Takahashi or
Yumiko Igarashi. In
Japan, the word manga-ka refers to a cartoonist who
doodles comics for the masses... or maybe just a few
local yokels who enjoy "dem purty pictures." To
unleash her full creative animus, the heroine sets
out to conquer 20 mini-games which build up her
artistic credentials, skills, and equipment. Games
include basketball, catching items thrown by three
busy artists, matching puzzle games, and many more.
When it's time to create manga, the NDS stylus is
used to create mini-comics which may or may not make
any sense. It's up to you and for your own
bemusement and for anyone whom you share the manga
with. A set of art tools are used for squiggly
lines, circles, squares, and even spray paint. An
eraser corrects any mistakes and a palette of colors
may be used to add pizzazz to a circular blob shape.
After starting the game, the gal protagonist is shown in her pastel
colored house where she may sleep, check her
schedule on the PC, or exit the home to visit with
friends or explore the quaint town. There's an art
supply shop that she may visit (but not buy anything
yet), a pet shop, an art gallery, a movie theater,
and other businesses. Time moves along as the
heroine explores and interacts with citizens around
town. Eventually, night time arrives and all of the
businesses will close, forcing her to return home
for bedtime.
Japanese language comprehension is a must for this particular
title. We would not recommend purchasing this game
if you cannot read Japanese.
