PS2 King of Fighters 2002 JPN
PS2 King of Fighters 2002 [SNK Best] - New Import
ŠNCS: Iori, Kyo and familiar faces from previous years such as Billy Kane, Yamazaki and Yashiro return in KOF 2002 which is built around KOF 1998's mechanics. The classic 3-on-3 team battle formula remains the same and the Strikers system is gone. Exploits have been reduced and fighters are more evenly matched against each other for better balance. Team players gain power stock for Max mode which is used for actions such as Fast Emergency Escape, Guard Cancellation Body Toss Attack, Guard Cancellation Emergency Escape, Super Cancellation and other cancel/escape moves. A MAX2 Super Desperation Mode is available to fighters for last ditch barrages.

The PS2 version features high resolution 640x448 video, 3-D backgrounds, and sharp graphics which look slightly better than the Dreamcast version of KOF 2002. The action is faithful to the original although the loading times still needs help. A total of 43 characters (4 hidden) are spread out over 13 teams who fight over 18 stages. A number of game modes are available in PS2 KOF 2002 as follows for some sweet variety: Team Play: Use a 3-man team against CPU / Team Vs: Play a 3-man team against a friend / Single Play: Play one-on-one against the CPU / Single Vs: Play one-on-one <more>

PS2 Metal Slug 4 JPN
PS2 Metal Slug 4 [SNK Best] - New Import
ŠNCS: Metal Slug 4 came about as the ashes of the original SNK were still simmering and Playmore came on a white horse with a buyout of assets and properties. With the old SNK crew disbanded, Playmore turned to Korean developer Mega Enterprises for a fourth episode in the highly vaunted Metal Slug series. As the story goes, a secretive cabal known as Amadeus seeks to control the world's military computers by way of virus. In order to stop their machinations, a super soldier is summoned to topple their armies and installations. One soldier. Against an entire army. Against impossible odds, the lone warrior uses heavy weaponry and special vehicles known as Slugs to dominate the opposing side.
Players choose one of four characters from the ranks consisting of Fio Germi, Marco Rossi, Nadia Cassel, and Trevor Spacey. Only one new weapon appears in MS4 by way of the dual machine gun and new vehicles include the Bradley Tank, Metal Crow Tank, Four Legged Walk Machine, and others. While soldiers such as Eri and Tarma from previous Slugs are no longer playable, they do appear in supporting roles throughout the game. True to the credo of war, soldier heroes will trudge through land, air, and sea in order to defeat the armies of Amadeus.

PS2 Samurai Spirits Zero JPN
PS2 Samurai Spirits Zero [SNK Best] - New Import
ŠNCS: Samurai, swordsmen, and other combatants gather together once again in Playmore's new Neo Geo port of Samurai Spirits Zero for the PS2. A total of 26 fighters are in attendance and familiar faces such as Haohmaru, Nakoruru, and Basara, Charlotte, Genjuro, Nakoruru, Rimururu, Ukyo, and many more returning. Amakusa's missing, though. The eight new characters are Kaja, Kusare Gedou, Lera, Mina Majikina, Rasetsumaru, Un-Rei, Suija, and Yoshitora Tokugawa.
New systems consist of the Sword Gauge and Concentration. The meditation meter will take a little getting used to but a well of spiritual power may be diverted from the rage meter and stored separately. Once enough meditation has been shored up, the fighter may be sent into Enlightenment Mode where the game moves in slow motion
. New to the PS2 version are 2 mid-level bosses named Yumeji and Sankuro and a gallery mode which features artwork of the characters in the game. The character select stage has also changed a bit. Fans may visit Playmore's official site for the Neo Geo version of the game. The character moves are the same as listed on the site and there's a good bit of artwork and other information on there as well. Samurai Spirits Zero is also known as Samurai Spirits V.
