Four partners are available including Run-Dor, a mechanical beast with a drill on top of its head, Enji - a winged beast, Killfith - purple haired lad, and Rufeel - a green-blue tressed lassie. In addition to conventional melee weapons that may be used in the game, Hajimari no Ishi introduces bow & arrows to the series. Returning features include weapon forging to complete your weapon library and special attacks to break enemy armaments.

Hop into a kart and throttle, brake, slide, and drift in winding tracks that take the Mario crew through conventional courses, a desert, a slippery snow circuit, Yoshi Falls, and more. Items may be picked up on the track including banana peels which are thrown to send a competitor spinning, a spiny shell to bomb the race leader, and green shells which are basically missiles.
   Thanks to the Nintendo DS' wireless functionality, up to eight players may link up for a rough 'n tumble challenge in the Versus and Battle modes. If the local talent isn't up to snuff, gamers may Wi-Fi against global racers.

   ©NCSX▪ The Japanese word "oekaki" translates approximately to "doodle" or "draw" and the title Oekaki Puzzle refers to picture creation exercises where a grid is filled in with colors by following the numbered clues at the side and top margins. For example, if the first line of a grid has the number "1" that's colored green on the left margin, that means there's a green block measuring 1 unit to be filled in somewhere in the first line of the grid. To find out where it is exactly, look at the margins at the top margins of the grid to find a logical matching assignment. Fill the grid in properly by following the clues and a rudimentary picture appears when you're done - be it an image of a turtle, a cabbage, or the mighty robots of Yuusha-Oh GaoGaiGar.
