PS2 Gakuensai no Oji-sama JPN

PS2 Tennis no Oji-sama: Gakuensai no Oji-sama - New Import
©NCSX▪ Step into the shoes of a girl who has the hots for the Prince of Tennis boys. Interaction provides a chance to get to know the guys better and if you're alluring enough, maybe one of the tennis-crazed teens will take two seconds to compliment you on your Sakura Kasugano outfit instead of running off to practice. To hone your game plan, it's possible to practice your own tennis skills with mini-games where you slap a ball against a wall before facing one of the boys. The voice actors from the animation provide full conversational speech in the game to complement the written dialogue. View NCS Game Notes.

PSP Byte Hell 2000 JPN

PSP Byte Hell 2000 - New Import
©NCSX▪ Before the madcap mini-games of Byte Hell 2000, musician Pierre Taki and musical collaborator Hideyuki Tanaka had other projects. The two are equal parts in the VJ team known as Prince Tongha and Taki is also part of techno band Denki Groove with partner Takkyu Ishino. In 1998, Pierre Taki contributed to a little known Playstation game known as Denki Groove Jigoku V which featured odd video art and a gaming experience that was capable of creating techno music. If we recall correctly, NCS sold 8 copies of the game and the print run was under 5,000 units. With Byte Hell 2000, Pierre and Hideyuki test their video and musical sensibilities with mini-games that exhibit the spirit and verve of their video project known as "30 Minutes Around the World." These are odd, odd mini-games. Odd. They're simple exercises that appear standard until you actually play them and notice the wicked and devilish sense of humor. Although it's easy to dismiss many of the games as the inclinations of fertile and possibly deranged minds, one must examine the pop culture savvy in them as well.

X360 Sangoku Musou 3 Special JPN

X360 Sangoku Musou 4 Special - New Import
©NCSX▪ Based on the PS2 Sangoku Musou 4 game, the Xbox 360 update features pristine graphics and a few enhancements that are apparently worth the Y8190 price tag and the "Special" addendum. Besides the vibrant Dolby 5.1 support and fluid animation, gamers who plunk coin down for the game will also enjoy less loading, a legends mode which contains 18 new scenarios, a Shura mission mode, and.... did we mention the graphics?

A Dramatization:
MS: DOA4 got delayed and the X360 needs more games. Can you help?
K: How about a mahjong game? We can whip one up in a week.
MS: We need something bigger and better. How about whipping up Sangoku Musou 5 as an X360 exclusive?
K: <Strained silence for 5 seconds> No, we can't invest/devote/apportion resources of that magnitude to an unproven platform.
MS: What do you suggest then?
K: How about a rehash of the most recent Sangoku Musou game. We'll add some more details and modes. The game will basically be the same as the PS2 version to the layman that adds no substantial value. Will that do?

MTA Strike over in NY

 ETC General Updates
Japanese Retail Push and Pulls

Both PS2 Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 22 and X360 Wrestle Kingdom which were originally scheduled to ship this week have been delayed. Our distributor in Japan actually took delivery of Wrestle Kingdom but then a recall was issued by Yuke's due to a software glitch. Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 22 is now scheduled for February 23, 2006 but please note that Wrestle Kingdom will probably not be reissued until after the new year.
Restock Shipment Delays

Due to late clearance last night out of Kentucky for some packages, all of our expected restock shipments are now scheduled for delivery on Tuesday of next week. This means backorders for MGS3 Subsistence and Naruto Narutimett Hero 3 will now ship on December 27.
Please note that UPS, USPS, and FEDEX are all on holiday on December 26. NCS will have a website update on Monday but please note that normal operations will resume on Dec. 27.
MTA Strike Over

After three days, the MTA strike in NYC is over and trains and buses are rolling again. On our drive to work today, we snapped some shots of smoke belching buses to commemorate the event.
Seasons Greetings

NCS wishes all a happy holiday.
