 ©NCSX▪ Novelty mice for PCs never really made a splash in the marketplace. One reason may be the ergonomics of a mouse crafted like a hamburger hardly makes for comfortable web surfing or extensive sessions of one's latest gaming addiction. To add to the crop of uncomfortable novelty mice, Banpresto ships Mario and Goomba versions which may appeal to retro Famicom fans.

   In the case of the Mario Mouse, the plumber's hat is divided into the left and right buttons while Goomba's forehead serves as left and right mouse triggers. The construction is reasonably well crafted and non-creaky. The plastic molding is solid and doesn't squeak when rolling Mario or Goomba over a mousepad. The design uses a mechanical ball for the input sensor (400dpi) and the USB cord measures a lengthy 120cm or 47.24"

NCS Product Notes
* Goomba's ziggurat-shaped head is fairly sharp to the touch but would be useful if your fingers are ever itchy and need to be scratched.

* The click sound that each mouse gives off is of the satisfying micro-switch type instead of the flat, padded thud of some mice.

* When the ball underneath gets dusty or dirty, rotate the little hatch door on the bottom of the mouse counterclockwise to remove it and the ball inside for a brisk cleaning.
