Game Synopsis

Ever mischievous and trouble making, Loki is
banished from Asgard to Middle Earth where he
incarnates as a little brown-haired, green-eyed
child. The condition for his return to the company
of the Aesir is the capture of evil spirits on
'ol Midgard. To this end, Loki establishes the Enjaku
Detective Agency which takes on supernatural
assignments that have a greater likelihood of
encountering discarnate spirits.
Teamed with a
rambunctious pink-haired girl named Mayura Daidouji
and his son
Ryuusuke Yamino (aka The Midgard Serpent), the
Enjaku Detective Agency is retained for a new scenario that
was written especially for the PS2 game. Loki's other
children, Fenrir and Hel, accompany their father in
the respective forms of a black dog and a little
girl. The god of thunder, Thor, provides comic relief in the
form of a lad named Narugami who has forgotten the
way back to Asgard.
As the story goes, paintings by a famous artist are disappearing
and the Enjaku Detective Agency is retained to sniff
out the culprit. Arriving at the gallery one
evening, Loki and the gang launch an investigation
and soon discover that things are not as they
seem...

cinema before the title screen pops up.

* Upon starting a new game, the camera focuses in on
an art gallery at night. Mayura, in Sakura Kusanaga
outfit and pink hair, appears with her red eyes and
mutterings of what's going on. The lip syncing isn't
the best and she'll intonate long after the speech
is done.
* A series of locations appear and Loki may elect to
go to one of four locales to learn more about the
crime at hand. Queries may be selected from multiple
choices for a progress pathway to next action. As
characters are met and items obtained, new areas are
opened up for Loki to explore and glean additional
information from.
* The game is played entirely in interactive menu
options where Loki is given an order and he executes
it accordingly. All of the dialogue in the game is
accompanied by voice acting.
* To review the past dialogue at any time, press the
TRIANGLE button and scroll up to earlier
conversations.
* After about 15 minutes of play and establishing
the gist of the adventure, an introductory cinema
plays where Loki and friends appear in slow and
steady cinematic sequences below a moon, in a field,
and other locations. Loki's wings appear and flutter
off a flock of feathers which drift off and end the
intro.
* The voice actors and actresses from the animation
provided their vocal talents for the game.
