   ©NCSX· Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley were never slouches when it came to the looks department. With her doe-eyed stare and baby blue hair, Rei Ayanami activates the mating instinct of howling hounds the world over. Asuka's fiery temperament and matching locks also provide intensity for admirers to ogle at. Her typical "pretty girl" features and pointy, perky nose don't hurt either.
   With the knowledge that both Evangelion girls are attractive, Sega Toys casts the pair as PVC renditions of Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty, and sex appeal. Each figure measures a svelte 23cm or 9.05" tall and the girls are dressed in tunic-like attire that drape properly and carry willowy sashes of some sort. Rei wears a thin armlet around her left arm while Asuka hefts a pair of thicker armlets on both arms. Both gals are in poses that are reminiscent of a goddess rising from the foaming sea. Put a scallop shell beneath either girl's feet and you'll recreate Botticelli's Birth of Venus...

©NCSX▪ Staring at the bags and bags of Naruto plushes currently tucked in long term NCS storage, principals might be resigned to never import Naruto plushes ever again. But that would be calling it quits on one of the hottest franchises in the history of all mankind. Sort of. Then we're comforted by that truism in our business that proves itself time and again which is, "Anything sells given time." Those 617 copies of PS1 Dragonball Final Bout that no one wanted back in the summer of 1997? All gone. Domokun plushes at $200 each that were once stacked up in rows and reached the ceiling? GONE. Fat backed Caltoy pigs? Not gone yet but give it time...

   With apprehension, NCS imports another batch of Naruto plushes but this time, they're of the miniature sort and are adorned with a hand strap on top of each character's head. The velcro-backed strap may also be wrapped around a belt loop, through the handle of a bag, around a child's wrist, or any other kind of loop-de-loop. The plushes measure 8cm or 3.14" tall each and five characters are represented: Naruto, Kakashi, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Itachi. Pricing is set at US$6.50 per strap. If you order one figure/strap by itself, we will ship with the most economical method which is USPS Media Mail + Delivery confirmation ($1.97) for a total of $8.47.

©NCSX▪ After dominating retro game recreations with their line of DOTS toys, Tomy turns their attention to classic Disney characters.
   Shipping in March 2006, both Mickey and Minnie are recreated in dot-pin form where the peg board is roughly twice the "resolution" of the first generation of Dot-Pin pegboards. The peg count also ramps up to 750 vs 520 for the earlier Dot-Pin sets. The likenesses of Mickey and Minnie are the old school black & white versions which opens up the possibility of modern Mickey and Minnie variants in the coming months. Pricing is set at US$20 each. Preorders are welcome today to ship in mid-late March 2006.
