Game Synopsis
©NCSX▪
In 1986, Technos took a look at street thugs and
created a world in which an anti-gangsta named Kunio
battled punks and hoodlums with punches, flying
kicks, and the occasional wooden plank. Kunio and
his ardent rival Riki would star in nearly 30 games
on the Famicom, Super Famicom, Gameboy, and Neo Geo.
At the outset of the game, Kunio-kun gets a beatdown and is seen
lying prone on the street. In the next scene, he's
as lively as a rarebit and rarin' to go against a
whole gang of bruisers. As they circle him and act
menacing, Kunio may counter their attacks with
punches, kicks, jumps, reverse kicks, and grab 'n
attacks. With an arsenal of moves at his disposal,
Kunio may match the gang members punch for punch or
perform selective rationing of attacks until
everyone is put down. That's when the boss in the
background rushes in for a piece of the mighty Kunio-kun.
In addition to the Nekketsu Kouha Kunio
game on a CD-Rom, the Oretachi package also includes
a miniature Music CD which contains background music
from the game along with a remix track, a miniature
DVD which features an expert gamer in action, a thin
booklet on the game, a trading card, and a thin
image capture booklet.
