Game Synopsis

When a biological weapon kills half the population
of a town, that's not the worst of it. The dead
won't stay down and the corpses return as shuffling
zombies. Undead and hungry, the zombies chomp chunks out of
anyone hapless enough to fall into their clutches
and turn them into zombies as well. With the contagion spreading,
things are looking hairy. Capcom handled of the same
premise one way but D3P takes a different tack on
how to deal with zombie infestation. Instead of
outfitting a hero with flak jacket and heavy
weaponry, Simple 2000 players drive an ambulance...
As an undergrad in a medical university, the protagonist hears of
the biological infestation and the hazards
afoot. When news
of survivors being assailed by zombies reaches the
wire, protagonist can't stand it any longer. Fearing for
his fellow man and anxious to protect life, the
player takes control of an ambulance and rushes out to save
mankind from the scourge of zombies. In addition to
the walking undead, there's also rabid zombie dogs which race
around as well as monstrous beasts which require a
little more than just ambulance ramming...
NCS Game Notes
» Maneuver the zombie smashing ambulance and head out to where
innocents are located. Take too long to rescue your
fellow man and they'll join the army of the undead.
Zombies are fairly sentient and form walls of zombie
bodies in an attempt to stop your vehicular assault. Smash
through them by revving up and plowing through
undead crowds like a mobile
battering ram. The hordes of zombies are
formidable and they'll try their damndest to
rock the ambulance off the road. Grit your teeth (clench them if necessary)
and roll the ambulance through zombies and create a
storm of what looks like chunky tomato sauce.
» As more hapless humans are saved from a brutal destiny, upgrades
may be added to the ambulance when mechanics are
rescued. The engine, tires, siren, and bumpers may all
be ramped up. A higher HP engine allows the
ambulance to burst through bodies with more power,
better tires crush zombies easier, bumpers may be
upgraded with weaponry to slash and burn. A shiny
new siren expands the search
radius of the ambulance to find far away survivors.
» In addition to saving mechanically inclined craftsman, the
following people may be saved which help in their
own special ways:
Architects / Capable of increasing the
survivor holding capacity of the hospital
Policemen / Improve the defense of the
hospital from zombie attack
Soldiers / Bolster the defenses of the
hospital from zombie attack
Politicians / Open up new areas in town so
more survivors are accessible
