PS2 Ninkyouden Toseinin JPN

PS2 Ninkyouden Toseinin Ichidaki  - New Import
«©NCSX» Sega recently took a look at the modern Yakuza with a little game called Ryuu Ga Gotoku. Genki also takes a gander at the Yakuza but retro rockets a few centuries back to feudal Edo when the gangsters wore wooden sandals instead of steel-toed alligator wingtips. Ninkyouden Toseinin Ichidaki starts outside the estate of a local Yakuza boss where the protagonist ambles up, looking for two underlings who raised a ruckus the night before at a hostel. When the two mobsters in question appear, a battle starts where the hero kicks and punches (in that order) to avenge his family honor. The hero also carries a staff that's slung across his back that may be used to smack the two foes. Once they're beaten however, things take an unexpected turn...
From lowly peasant to Yakuza warlord, gamers adopt the role of a young and aspiring gangster who endeavors to become more than his station would allow in normal society. By using force, thuggish behavior, and the ever lovin' shakedown, the protagonist gradually grows from local gang affiliate to connected Yakuza boss who eventually wields influence and settles territorial disputes. As the gangster's power grows, he may  eventually supplant the boss of bosses...

NDS Scratch Guard DS JPN

NDS Children of Mana Scratch Guard DS - New Import
«©NCSX» Japanese accessories manufacturer AM3 scored a license to produce a quintet of Seiken Densetsu: Children of Mana themed NDS scratch prevention kits a couple of months ago. Today, NCS receives the fruits of their labor - thin pieces of plastic which stick to the lid of the Nintendo DS and four spots inside the handheld clamshell. The five styles are as follows:

1) Seiken Densetsu DS
2) Flick
3) Tumble
4) Pop
5) Wanderer

Since the "Scratch Guard" is a paper-thin piece of colorful plastic, you'll be able to stick it on your NDS and still use your current carrying pouch, bag, or slim-line case without having to update your protective gear. The pieces of plastic that stick to the inner shell of the NDS don't really provide much protection but they will keep finger grease off the portion around the D-pad and the face buttons.

Please note that the Scratch Guard DS is designed for the current NDS model but the Scratch Guard may be trimmed to fit the slimmer styling of the NDS Lite.

If ordered alone, please note that NCS will automatically ship the scratch guard to U.S. customers with regular first class mail in a padded envelope at a shipping cost of 0.88 (2.2 oz mail piece) Please disregard what the checkout shipping cost is, since we cannot edit it to show 0.88. If you reside outside of the USA, we will also ship with the lowest cost possible

PSP Blade Dancer JPN

PSP Blade Dancer - New Import
«©NCSX» The land of Foo suffers from a millennial curse. Every 1000 years, a dark knight returns and raises demons in a bid to destroy all that is good and wholesome in the world. The last time out, the dark knight managed to wreck Foo pretty good but he was beaten back by a hero known as Blade Dancer. This time around, Blade's gone but four new heroes rise up to meet the challenge. The hero of the adventure is a knight named Lance who starts the game on his back. He's lounging aboard a ship that's sailing towards Foo and his little pet creature also lounges along with him. As the sight of land appears, Lance gets a little excited and prepares to disembark. Once on Foo, conversations with citizens give a few clues as to what's afoot and how menacing monsters have begun appearing in greater numbers outside the walls of the town...
Blade Dancer features 3D roaming action where Lance runs and interacts with supporting characters. At the outset, there's not much to do inside the town other than gather information and open a few treasure chest. Upon leaving the safe confines of the city walls however, encounters with monsters are plentiful. Once a battle starts, attack opportunities are governed by a little sphere that moves clockwise in the lower left portion of the screen. Each time the sphere makes one complete revolution, an exclamation mark pops up and Lance may choose to attack, use an item, or vamoose if the battle is going against him. One on one battles against foes are quick but as more monsters clutter the battlefield, the little

PSP Eyeshield 21 Portable Ed. JPN

PSP Eyeshield 21 Portable Edition - New Import
«©NCSX» Sena Kobayakawa is the archetypal underdog. Scrawny and seemingly of low mien, Sena attracts the attention of three bullies known as the Hah-Hah Brothers. The thugs detect Sena's softness and exploit it like masterful leeches. With a daily harangue and a litany of abuse, the Hah-Hah boys send Sena on errands and expect him to run like Hermes. Sena's underdog stature changes slightly when he goes to Deimon High School where he meets a fanatical blonde named Yoichi Hiruma - he of the irrational gun play and a gentle giant named Ryokan Kurita. Sena is inducted into the Devil Bats Football Team and finds that the Hah-Hah Brothers' abusive ways have given him the gift of speed and dexterity, something that any football team needs in a quarterback...

After shipping Eyeshield 21 games on the Playstation 2 and Nintendo DS, Konami releases a PSP version where the focus is on football themed mini-games. Not just a few mini-games but over 70 of them that all invariably involve the pigskin and all of the athletics and antics associated with the grid-iron. The Hah-Hah brothers also provide angst and comical fodder. The key to a successful season is training and players will engage in running, tackling, throwing, kicking, and passing in order to hone a team from slovenly slackers to surgically precise athletes. Five teams from the original animation are featured in the game as follows: Ohjo White Knights, Zokugaku Chameleons, Taiyo Sphinx, Seibu Wild Gunmans, and the Devil Bats.

PSP Rockman Rockman JPN

PSP Rockman Rockman - New Import
«©NCSX» Baby Blue does it just as well as Big Blue and to this end, Capcom shrinks Rockman into a pocket-sized version of himself. The new incarnation of the marquee platform hero sports rounded physical features, bright blue eyes, and a cherubic quality that threatens to force other publishers to try their hand at pocket-size versions of their own heroes. For example, imagine tot Sonic, infant Samus, Crash Bandicoot tyke, and baby Bomberman. In Capcom's own camp, baby Dante and Onimusha are possibilities for the wonder years treatment.
Rockman Rockman is a pastel colored remake of the original Rockman game from 1987 where the blue suited hero faces off against the minions of Dr. Wiley. While Capcom could have gone the quick and dirty route with a facile visual revamp, they've included two versions of the game in Rockman² - a full blown Rockman remake with new game features as well as a version of the updated Rockman that plays true to the original game. Capcom adds two bosses to the original crew of six - Oil Man and Time Man, who bring new skills to the platform action. The bosses are also playable once they've been dominated by Rockman. To retain the game play qualities of the original game, Capcom hasn't tinkered with the mechanics and Rockman's moves are rudimentary like the original. There's no dash move or wall sliding to accompany the basic jump and blaster shots that Rockman started out. To spice up the action, a Challenge Mode features 100 Rockman exercises with targeted objectives that require completion within a set amount <more>

NDS Screen Guard DS Lite JPN

NDS Screen Guard DS Lite - New Import
«©NCSX» Ever mindful of the changing gaming landscape and how it affects their business, Hori releases a LCD screen protector for the new Nintendo DS Lite. In addition to protecting the screens from smudges, peanut butter, and the occasional rivulet of spittle from your open maw, the silicon-based Hori NDS screen protector also cuts down on any glare from overhead light sources that might otherwise ruin a rollicking good time. Finally, the touch screen filter offers a little bit of additional friction to alleviate stylus slippage.

Similar to other Hori screen filters, the two-piece accessory sticks to the NDS screens by way of static cling instead of messy adhesives. To ensure proper application, detailed instructions and a little cloth is included inside the package so the installer may rub out any bubbles that appear during the filter lay-down.
Nintendo DS Lite Update for March 3, 2006
There are still no NDS Lite supplies available in Japan or Hong Kong for export as of last night which is somewhat unusual. NCS deals with a few entrepreneurial hustlers who work outside of normal distribution channels and are generally able to locate products and supplies in size when the big and well fed trading houses can't or won't. Hustlers had nothing for us.

When the other colors of the NDS Lite ship next week, we anticipate a repeat of the shortage and price hikes that NCS endured this week. Due to the supply problems, we're keeping all customer preorders on hold until prices stabilize and supplies become more readily available.

» The prevailing rate of the NDS Lite is currently US$236 but this and any other quotation is useless because there are no supplies available.

»
We will not charge the prevailing rate of an NDS Lite and recommend that customers wait until supplies/prices are normal (possibly in 2 weeks time?).
