the crews of world renowned racing teams and tackle
the offroad extremes of courses across the world.
Racers may test their skills on the 16 courses used
in the 2005 WRC circuit including the
Supermag
Rally Italia Sardinia, Uddeholm Swedish Rally,
Acropolis Rally Greece, OMV ADAC Rallye Deutschland,
and Telstra Rally Australia.
A round trip will take the player to 5 continents
and 16 different countries which feature variable
terrain such as snow, tarmac, and gravel. An
additional 19 bonus stages are included in the PSP
version for added racing value.
Officially licensed by the FIA (Federation Internationale De
L'Automobile), the PSP version of WRC features day
and night driving, variable weather conditions, and
30 vehicles from
Citroën,
Ford, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Škoda, and Subaru. To add
authentic flavor to the racing, 36 actual rally
drivers and co-drivers are featured in the game such
as Gilles Panizzi, Toni Garemeister, Sébastien Loeb,
and Chris Atkinson. While WRC may be enjoyed solo,
it shines when 8 players gather together for a
competitive race via Ad Hoc mode. Once a race is won
or lost, the Replay Theater mode allows a racer to
check out his form and handling to correct any
issues for the next race.

» When driving at night, the illumination provided
by the headlights only cuts a limited swath in front
of your vehicle which adds to the challenge. |
