ETC Relakuma Remote Control JPN

ETC Relakuma Remote Control - Preorder / Ships in July 2006
«©NCSX» Does anyone really need a universal remote control that looks like it could launch a nuclear warhead with its 80 buttons and the ability to execute 16 consecutive operations? NCS says no, quite emphatically, and presents the Relakuma Remote Control where the lackadaisical beast serves as the new steward of your television.
After performing the signal recognition function, Relakuma takes over the channel selection and volume control in its shapely body. A simple keypad with numbers from 1 to 12 and two UP/DOWN controls for volume and channels. In addition to Relakuma, there's a second version featuring Relakuma's honey-colored gal pal. Pricing is set at US$16 each.

ETC The Dog Cushionl JPN

ETC The Dog Cushion - Preorder / Ships in July 2006
«©NCSX» The Dog is a popular Japanese toy pooch with an overly simplistic name. As if reinforcing the simple nature of The Dog, manufacturer System Service has started preorders for bone-shaped cushions with simple designs which measure 42cm or 16.53" long. On the upper right portion of every bone is a little doggie which clings to the cushion for dear life. An anchor stamp and the words, "The Dog" are emblazoned on the lower left corner. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late July 2006. Due to dimensional weight for this item, NCS recommends only shipping with UPS Ground.

TOYS NDS Lite Strap JPN

ETC NDS Lite Strap - Preorder / Ships in July 2006
«©NCSX» Anyone still on the fence about whether or not to purchase a Japanese NDS Lite at the price of US$209 has another option. An NDS Lite Strap that measures 30mm square (1.18") that costs a piddling US$3.00 each. Buy a whole bag of 'em and share them with pals and the nice guy at the delicatessen who makes your peanut butter and banana sandwich just the way you like it.
Each miniature NDS Lite is hooked to a ring that's hooked to one of six NDS game cartridges. The ring is also linked to a strap for tethering to your cellphone. Two versions of each NDS Lite color variant are featured for a total of six different styles. NCS accepts preorders for complete sets today.

TOYS Nintendogs Vol. 2 Strap JPN

ETC Nintendogs Vol. 2 Strap - Preorder / Ships in July 2006
«©NCSX» If your hobby is collecting ghastly looking dogs that are connected to cellphone straps, Bandai is looking for you. Although Nintendogs is old news at this point, Bandai beats the franchise for all its worth with six more Nintendogs straps which feature a little dog figure and a severed paw. Accessories for each dog include a little Mario or Luigi hat and a purple or green bowtie. Preorders ship in mid-late July 2006 and NCS starts preorders for complete sets today. We may sell them individually when they arrive.

TOYS Sherbets Plush JPN

TOYS Sherbets Plush - Preorder / Ships in July 2006
«©NCSX» Not to be confused with the "Scented Sherbets" plush toys from Learning Curve's Eden label, the Sherbets Plushes from Japanese manufacturer System Service are invariably 13cm round. The top three creatures in the photo appear to be colored to look like lemon, cherry, and lime flavored sherbet. A cherry with stem is also sewn on top of each beast's head. The three sherbets on the bottom of the photo might be colored (from left to right) flesh tone, blueberry, flesh tone... but that's just a guess. Preorders ship in mid-late July 2006 at US$9 per plush.

NDS Lite JPN

Severe Examples of Dead Pixels

NDS Nintendo DS Lite Dead Pixel Policy - Please Read
«©NCSX» Dead pixels are present on the PSP, the NDS, and other devices that have LCD screens. Our Powerbook G4 has them (yes, them as in more than one). Unavoidably, they are present on the NDS Lite. The five NDS Lites that we kept for our company use all have 1 to 6 dead pixels and there's a better than average chance that the NDS Lite that you purchase will have dead pixels as well. Dead pixels on new hardware products such as the NDS Lite are common and manufacturers will not accept returns because of them - recall the PSP situation from 2004.

Our posted policy on both shops is as follows for the NDS and NDS Lite:

Japan policy
As with all import NDS units, please note that we are not able to return them to Nintendo of Japan because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. Please note that it is the case that dead pixels are present in the NDS, NDS Lite, PSP, and other products that have LCD screens. With regards to the differential brightness issue, the brightness of the NDS screen may appear lighter than other parts of the screen. Due to Nintendo's policy, please be advised that we will not accept import NDS units for return because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. By purchasing an NDS, you agree to accept this condition of sale. Sorry.
