Phoenix Rising
   Capcom has announced a Nintendo DS "Best" reissue of the Japanese version of Phoenix Wright aka Gyakuten Saiban which ships on June 15, 2006. The Japanese version of the game contains an English language option in addition to Japanese. On the USA side of things, a second reproduction of Phoenix Wright is scheduled to ship in mid-May 2006.

«©NCSX» Megahouse has started preorders for a 1/8 scale PVC figure which features the vampire hunter known as Saya. In Blood: The Last Vampire, Saya split vamps apart with powerful sword swings worthy of legendary Yagyu killers.

   In the Excellent Model Series figure, Saya sits on the shoulder of a handler while she leans back slightly. She's dressed in a school girl outfit with a red bow on front. Her hands are clenched around the handle of a katana and her stance appears to indicate that she's prepared to cleave downwards.

   Preorders are scheduled to ship in mid-late June 2006. One supplier mentions that this will be a limited production item but Excellent Models are generally a small production item anyway. Pricing is set at US$65.

«©NCSX» Japanese vendors started preorders overnight for NDS New Super Mario Bros which ships on May 25, 2006. However, the USA version of the game ships a week earlier on May 15. Preorders for both versions are welcome.
   Although the 2D game looks familiar and somewhat similar to earlier Super Mario Bros games, Nintendo boasts brand new levels and moves for the two plumbers to master. The storyline is age-old however - Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser once again and Mario has to scale great adversity to rescue her. The usual assortment of enemies return such as Koopas, Goombas, and others. On second thought, maybe it's not so new after all...

   The plushes measure 16cm or 6.29" tall and the Goomba differ from each other only in the caps that are sewn atop their noggins: Mario cap, Luigi cap, and Wario cap.
