Step into the persona of a roaming cowboy known as Kanjigai who goes from town to town battling blue spandex-wearing ninja. Most cowboys whip out a gun when faced with adversity but Kanjigai throws down with quick kana writing skills. As ninja ramble onto the field of contention, they'll lift up placards with kanji characters on them. «©NCSX» Shiyo aka Shawn Rumble is a young hustler who trades for profit and self preservation. While parlaying his commerce one day, his ship known as the Aero Clipper is attacked by rampaging marauders. Zooming out to greet them in a powerful mech, Shiyo blasts the three attackers from the skies but upon defeating them, another attack gets underway.... until Shishioh Gai of GaiGaoGar fame steps in to put and end to the attack.

   In the latest Sunrise Eiyuutan game, publisher Sunrise steps away from the tactical + strategic battles of previous entries and forges ahead with standard RPG battle system. When an encounter kicks off, enemies are arrayed in 2D on screen and players simply select an attack to ignite upon a target. If three opponents are on screen, players select which one to attack and then fire the guns or slash the energy sword. In the first battle, Shiyo can only attack but additional options are allowed in subsequent battles.  Since Shiyo is a trader, he'll fly from port city to port city looking for cargo assignments to take on and goods to purchase. In order to profit, he may purchase goods at the origin port for a relatively low price and then sell them at another port city for triple his cost. «NCS Game Notes»
