«©NCSX» To redeem his father's transgressions against the stars in the heavens, Oji-sama (Prince) has to roll. By rolling a lot of objects into a big bumpy blob, perhaps the stars will be replenished. Oji starts small with a nucleus of material which emits magical magnetic power and little objects such as saws, bottles, and boxes are soon attracted to the mass and add to its growing morass. In the early going, larger objects prove to be obstacles rather than fodder for the rolling but once Oji's ball grows a little larger, bigger items become fair game for girth seeking gamers. Once enough garbage, material, folk and anything else that might be in the way are snatched up, entire buildings become mere pickup sticks for Oji and his miraculous mass of matter. Control of the "ball" is mastered through the Dual Shock thumb sticks and maneuverability gets tougher as the mass grows ever larger.
   The game is a light-hearted and highly enjoyable romp but the sight of citizens adhering to a mass of mass construction may be offsetting to tender hearted gamers. The hapless souls who become stuck to the ball shiver, twitch and shake like little trapped insects. Ever see a fly whose wings have become helplessly glued to a spider's web? It's like that.

To investigate the events and keep things under control, a special task forced called Shinra is established in Tokyo. Two agents from Shinra serve as the protagonists in the game - Shaomu and Reiji. As the duo start their investigation in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, the heroes from Xenosaga slips through a time anomaly along with ephemeral Gnosis entities. Shaomu and Reiji team up with M.O.M.O, KOS-MOS, and Shion to defeat the Gnosis and soon find new time anomalies that take them to the worlds of Namco and Capcom which may lead them to the answers they seek...

   Over 200 recognizable characters from the Capcom and Namco camps appear in the game including the cast of Street Fighter, Vampire, Tekken, Dino Crisis, Tales of Destiny, and many more. Individual characters that appear in the game include Captain Commando, Strider, Rockman, Klonoa, and many more. Namco X Capcom is not a fighting game but a strategy game in the style of Super Robot Wars where gamers control teams of Namco or Capcom characters in tactical battles.

«©NCSX» Seeking to resurrect a deceased maiden that was sacrificed, a valiant hero enters Dormin's domain and seeks his help. Before the godly Dormin will move a muscle to aid the dead girl, he asks the hero to destroy humongous colossi that roam the land. With only a magic sword and a faithful steed at his disposal, the hero rides into battle against mammoth humanoid creatures...

   In addition to its primary use as a weapon, the hero's sword also serves as a colossi tracker. By holding it aloft and following the beacon that emits from it, the hero finds monsters to slay. The first brute carries a cudgel and slams it downwards to wreck the local area. During the first battle, arrows will stick in the monster's fur like pinpricks. If you attack from a distance, the colossi will attempt to crush you with its massive reach and cudgel. If you get up close, he'll attempt to stomp with both feet while the ground quakes and ripples with every step. The key is to scale the colossus and attack it like a mosquito while looking for its key damage points with the sword's light. As you're hanging onto the colossus' fur, it will shake its limbs in an attempt to dislodge you.
