NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX»
Kazuya Shiranami is nervous and talking to himself
as he is ferried on a space cruiser to his new
position. Tact Mayers has assigned him to crew of
the Rukusior battleship to take up the leadership
position of the Rune Angel Troupe. As he sits in the
cruiser, a familiar face shows up to ease his
tension - Forte Stollen. Upon his arrival on the
Rukusior, Apricot Sakuraba greets Kazuya and the two
head off on a tour of the battleship that's
interspersed with introductions from the rest of the
cast.
Galaxy Angel 2 is broken up into ACTs where Kazuya interacts with
his new charges and the commander of the Rukusior,
Takuto (Tact Mayers). The early ACTs consist
entirely of interaction sequences where the lay of
the game is explained and the background story is
divulged. In the fourth ACT, Kazuya gets a taste of
space battle where he chooses a partner from Kahlua,
Nano-Nano, or Apricot and locks battle frames
together to destroy a dummy drone. From that point,
the ACTs consist of equal parts character
interaction and battle sequences where the Rune
Angels are sent on missions across the galaxy. The
original Galaxy Angels (Milfeulle, Ranpha, Mint,
Vanilla, etc) also appear in the game in supporting
roles.
The Limited Edition of Galaxy Angel includes
the following items:
» Galaxy Angel Starter Book with 40-pages of
background info, novella text, and character artwork
» Angelic Disc music
CD which contains music and dramatic readings
» Two emblems

NCS Game Notes & Spoilers
»
A voice-over explains the story of GA2 while a blue
starry backdrop serves to provide mood. Press the
TRIANGLE button to automatically parse the text
instead of manually pressing to proceed.
» The intro to the game shows a sunrise over a planet as
white shards fly towards the light and the gals of
Galaxy Angel flash by in quick sequences while a gal
sings in the background.
» The protagonist in the game is a brown-haired guy
named Kazuya Shiranami who's in a small cruiser and
talks to himself to steady his nerves for his new
assignment as leader of the Rune Angel Troupe. A red
haired girl named Forte Stollen from GA appears
and sits next to him and has a conversation. The
cruiser lands on a larger ship known as the Rukusior and the crew
disembarks. Inside the hangar, the player expresses
astonishment at the Monshouki battle frames mounted
there - space faring fighter ships with bright color schemes.
» A lengthy introductory sequence commences where
the various Galaxy Angel 2 characters welcome the player.
There's Apricot, Nano-Nano, Kahlua, Anise, and Lily. The entire
sequence is about 30 minutes with only 2 inputs
required by the player throughout the entire time.
To review any of the text, press the "SQUARE" button
and the entire history of dialogue may be scrolled
through and read.
» After the introduction, players get to check out
the interior of the vessel they're aboard. Four
levels are on the ship - press the R1 or R2 triggers
to flop between the levels. Although there are a
number of rooms, only the pink outlined rooms may be
checked out. Visit all of the pink rooms to get a
voice over by the orange-haired girl named
Apricot Sakuraba who's accompanying you as tour
guide.
» A blonde girl with red jewel on her hair named Kahlua Marjoram and a blue-haired girl with tail
named Nano-Nano appear and supply interaction as
Kazuya and Apricot are roaming around the station.
In addition to the lengthy intro of the game, some
conversation sequences can last for up to 10 minutes
without any player button-pressing or interaction
otherwise. A black cat appears and gives Kahlua a
piece of candy which makes her transform into a
purple-haired, green-eyed alter-ego with bigger
breasts and a deeper voice. Her name in the new
incarnation is Tequila Marjoram During the changing
sequence, a fluid animation is shown which depicts
the fascinating transformation.
» At the infirmary, the blue haired girl Nano-Nano
Pudding performs a little healing magic and makes
the scrapes on Kazuya's arm disappear. This sequence
is also shown as a short cinema.
» A visit to the mess hall shows off the eating
tables and the area where the crew choose which food
to order. A board above the ordering area shows
color images of what appears to be soup, fried
potato cakes, and two types of hamburgers among
other fare.
» All of the dialogue in the game is voiced by
actors including Kazuya's.
» Areas that have been visited or can't be checked
yet are colored yellow. Areas still to be visited
are pink.
» After visiting the relevant areas in the game and
all areas are marked yellow, the next area kicks off
where the third Act introduces Tact Mayers. Kazuya
spends time conversing with Tact who is a
blue-haired guy with red eyes. His uniform consists
of red shoulder pads over a blue cloak. Underneath,
he wears a white uniform with yellow trim and a red
tie.
» As Kazuya interacts with the girls of GA2, they'll
feel affinity to him based on his choices. If their
affinity increases favorably, they'll fight better
alongside him as a cohesive battalion.
» To save the progress of the game at any time,
press the SELECT button and choose the second option
by highlighting it and pressing the O-Button. Next,
select one of six save-slots and press the O-Button
again to store your progress to memory card. .
» When the fourth ACT begins, Tequila, Nano-Nano,
and Apricot stand in front of Kazuya and have a
group conversation before a short battle tutorial
begins. The group goes into the hangar and a CG
rendered sequence plays where the Rune Angel
cruisers are deployed - the four ships rocket off
into the expanse of space.
» Next up, players may select which Angel to use -
the left side of the screen shows the three girls'
portraits mounted on the tips of a triangle while
the left side of the screen shows their abilities on
a hexagonal grid. Upon choosing a girl, Kazuya's
ship is shown docking with the girl's ship and the
first stage begins. Objectives, Victory Conditions
and Defeat Conditions are shown on the right side of
the screen while a tactical grid is shown on the
left side of the screen.
» When the mission starts, the ship is shown in the
foreground while an enemy drone is shown in the
space in from of the ship circled with a blue
marker. An orange-haired girl with red eyes and
glasses explains the HP, EP, and SP gauge bars on
the lower-right corner of the screen as well as the
Action Bar located to the left of the gauges. An
area map located on the upper left corner shows the
whereabouts of targets and cohorts. After the first
part of the lesson is over, the ship starts
thrusting towards the target and a vicinity circle
appears on the target which counts down the
distance.
» Upon reaching it, the camera pans and locks onto
the passing object. Orange-haired girl resumes the
lesson and explains the HP Bar, Energy Bar, and the
Target's HP which are all depicted on a circular
overlay which appears on the screen when an enemy is
in position. To attack, move the green targeting
reticule that appears over critical parts of the
enemy and blast away by pressing down on the
X-Button. As the enemy ship's part is destroyed,
it'll explode and crumble away. Destroy enough parts
and the ship is rendered inoperable. Keep an eye on
the Enemy HP bar to track your destructive progress
on the ship. During an attack, the enemy ship will
also fire at your ship so it's best to focus your
attack on its guns first to render them inactive.
» After the first training mission, Kazuya heads
back into the hangar where congratulations are in
order. After a bit of banter, a short "video" plays
which uses what appears to be pre-production
sketches as the visual element plays to the Galaxy
Angel 2 theme song. Act 5 soon starts.
