NDS Megami no Etsubo DS JPN

NDS Touch de Manzai! Megami no Etsubo DS - New Import
«©NCSX» A ghoul named Hekiwaro has escaped from its sealed tomb and is raising a ruckus. To seal the ghoul back in its crypt, two hipper-than-thou hipsters named Ikki and Titose trade lines and insults to elicit laughter from a crowd. As an added impetus to do well, Ikki has been cursed with a pair of "drawn-on" glasses which plaster his face. Only by spitting funny lines will Hekiwaro be trapped once again and those ugly glasses removed.  Perform the comedic routine by way of stylus tapping action that's choreographed prior to stepping on stage. Draw uproarious laughter and step one stone closer to stopping mischievous Hekiwaro. Fail famously and watch as old Hekiwaro runs roughshod over Benten shrines across Japan. «More»

PS2 Last Bronx JPN

PS2 Sega Ages 2500 Vol 24: Last Bronx Tokyo Bangaichi - New
«©NCSX» After the carnage and bloodshed of the All-Tokyo Street War, a biker gang known as Soul Crew stepped in and quelled the violence. With diplomacy as well as powerful smackdown fighting skills, Soul Crew united the gangs and toughs under a single badge. When the leader of Soul Crew is murdered, factions splinter off from the old power structure with former Soul Crew stalwarts Yusaku Kudo forming Neo Soul and Joe Inagai forming Shinjuku MAD. Six other gangs also rise up in a new struggle for power. One day, an invitation is sent to the leaders of all eight gangs, requesting their participation in a fighting tournament which will determine primacy. Whomever wins in the one-on-one matches will be deemed worthy enough to take control of the streets of Tokyo...
The year 2006 marks the 10th Anniversary of Sega's AM2 coin-op fighting game known as Last Bronx. Whereas AM2's Virtua Fighter series featured safe and sanitary fighters such as Pai and Jacky, the cast of Last Bronx was made up of grungy, street-wise, and hardened gang leaders who battle with weapons such as nunchaku, wooden swords, and massive hammers. Running at a crisp 60fps, Last Bronx offers fluid animation, crisp character models, and responsive game play. «NCS Game Notes»

PS2 The Machine Gun Platform JPN

PS2 SP2000 Vol. 100: Otoko Tachi no Kijuu Houza - New
«©NCSX» Enter theaters of conflict as a gunner who mans a swiveling turret which fires off endless rounds of artillery to take down entire squadrons of enemy fighters. The job sounds easy enough... but it's not, thanks to lack of vision from the developer. In the first level, wave after wave of enemy ships strafe and attack the base installation as well as your gunnery position. After a while, the local airspace swarms with enemy fighters which attack en masse. By spinning around and firing haphazardly at the targets, you might hit 50 out of hundreds. The developer ruined what could have been a summer sleeper with poor design. In addition to high difficulty, the controls aren't so well thought out that one can spin 'n gun with ease. We would have added a temporary shielding system to block or bounce incoming fire back into space to  balance out the difficulty. As it is, there's no way to defend the fixed-position gun turret against any enemy fire.
Despite the difficulty, some NCS otaku were able to get through the first few levels intact. As levels are completed, gunners go on new missions in outer space, on different worlds, and there's even a mission where you're a gunner on a starship that's crossing an asteroid field. «NCS Game Notes»

PSP Gurumin JPN

 PSP Gurumin - New Import
«©NCSX» In an alternate reality, a vortex spins between dimensions and sends a dragon named Tokaron into a world populated by blue munchkin-like Phantoms. In a rampaging stupor, Tokaron levels the Phantom world and its terrified denizens are flung into the vortex and sent to new worlds. One destination is Gurumin, where a bunch of Phantoms and Tokaron take up residence. Before the dragon can level Gurumin as well, two heroes named Hyperbolic and Motro trap the beast with a miner's drill and magic...

As the game begins, Hyperbolic's granddaughter Parin goes to live with the former hero in the town of Tis. With no children to play with, Parin befriends an Obake which is a type of goblin or ghost that only children can see. The Obake tells Parin of how its kinfolk and kind have been kidnapped by the Phantoms and that a hero is needed to rescue them. With no one else stepping up to the plate, Parin volunteers to play the part of heroine and removes grandpappy's miner's drill from a stone and springs off into a jumping, spinning, drilling 3D action-adventure game. Along with speedy moves and a powerful drill weapon which destroys all types of hindrances, Parin may also perform a roll move where she tumbles around to avoid incoming attacks. Three additional drill bits may be bolted into the drill to add elemental force. Various types of accessories may also be worn which impart special abilities such as a headband which increases attack power and a crown which grants discounts for purchases at shops.

With temperaments frayed and nerves at wits end, Boku is sent to live with his aunt, uncle, and two cousins in the country for the month of August.
