«©NCSX» Slightly slimmer and sleeker than the swarthy girth of the original Nintendo DS, the Lite measures 133 x 73.90 x 21.50 mm (L x W x H) or 5.23 x 2.90 x 0.84". For comparison's sake, the original NDS rang in at 148.70 × 84.70 × 28.9mm or 5.85 x 3.33 x 1.13".
   The NDS Lite tips the scale at 218g or 0.48 lbs compared to the original NDS' 275g or 0.60 lbs. In addition to its smaller size, the NDS Lite also features four adjustable levels of screen brightness. The clarity and bright crispness of the NDS Lite screen has probably been the biggest selling point - it's a marked improvement over the dull glow of the original DS.

At the outset, players may choose to use the d-pad + buttons for the game or the stylus. It's either or. It is unclear why Hudson made this restrictive exclusivity condition.  PS2 Gunparade Orchestra: Ao no Shou - New Import
«©NCSX» The conclusive chapter of Gunparade Orchestra takes place in the summer time where the 109th ISP patrols and protects Chichijima, an island located in the Bonins (aka Ogasawara Islands) ~600 miles south of Tokyo. As in previous chapters in the series, the threat and invading force is known as the Genju, massive insect-like creatures which travel in packs and attack en masse. The defenders of Chichijima are high school students who study and interact with fellow classmates during a normal day. However, when the siren sounds and warns of an impending attack, the students assemble into battle squads, don svelte armored suits, and rush out to meet the invaders. By using weapons and bombs, the teams of defenders beat back the monsters. The interaction scenarios that take place at school serve to reinforce relationships with fellow students. The stronger the bond between students, the more they'll cooperate like a cohesive force during missions.

    The first GPO took place in the winter time and a penguin served as the school mascot. The second GPO ran through spring and a cat became the new mascot. Since the third GPO takes place at summer, the mascot is now a chipmunk with a bushy tail.  «NCS Game Notes»

«©NCSX»  The laser-like lights, the guttural roar of the crowd, and the massive video screen mounted near the wrestling ring conspire to electrify the atmosphere of Wrestle Kingdom as muscle bound meatheads strut on stage. Once inside the arena, recognizable faces from All Japan Pro Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH perform trademark moves and poses from their respective repertoires. Although the majority of wrestlers don't crack a smile or have any semblance of a sense of humor during their antics, a few do clown for the crowd and play it up to energize the audience. Choose from nearly 50 Japanese wrestlers such as :
Kanemoto Kohji, Jushin Thunder Liger, Brock Lesnar, Giant Bernard, Kojima Satoshi, Rikioh Takeshi, Ogawa Yoshinari, and Kanemaru Yoshinobu.
   We received a small allocation of a bonus Wrestle Kingdom DVD where wrestlers Keiji Muto, Masahiro Chobo, and Kensuke Sasaki sit down and enjoy a spirited conversion. They also play the PS2 version of Wrestle Kingdom to see who has the most mojo. The wrestlers smile, laugh, and have a good time in a casual setting instead of hamming it up in the harsh glare of the wrestling ring. We'll include the DVD with early preorders.

«©NCSX» Ultraman has been in existence in one form or another since 1966. That's four decades of spandex-wearing super heroics from a helmeted warrior who made strange arm gestures and battled rampaging monsters. Ultraman made his debut in Urutora Sakusen Dai-Ichi-Goh which was released on July 17, 1966.  From those early years to the current day, various Ultramen have taken up the torch to carry the franchise to new and exciting adventures. Later this year, the new movie Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers makes its theatrical debut on September 16 in Japan.

   Paying homage to Ultraman's history as well as the upcoming movie, Ultraman Fighting Evolution Zero features eight Ultramen forms including the original Urutora, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Leo, Ultra Seven, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Mebius, etc. The heroes face off against an assortment of creatures such as Eleking, Baltan, Black King, Knuckle-seijin, Bakishimu, and Hipporito-seijin. The action takes place on pseudo 3D battlefields and follows the rudimentary formula of the PS2 Ultraman Fighting Evolution games where two fighters face each other and attack, grapple, and blast away with special skills. A new system in the PSP version is the Clock Link System where the scenery changes depending on the time of day and affects the fighting capabilities of the combatants. For gamers who enjoy a little gallery with their action, an Ultra Reference Guide is included which features the profiles and images of 50 Ultramen and monsters.

«©NCSX»  As the story begins, Lord Papas is pacing the room anxiously when a servant rushes in and announces the Queen has just given birth. Papas joins his beloved in the birthing chamber and takes hold of his newborn son. The queen apparently suffers some complications and the scene shifts. Papas and his heir are aboard a ship and they soon reach their port of entry. They return to Santa Rosa where they're welcomed with open arms. As the prince wanders around the town, a hooded lady in the church mentions that the Queen passed away when he was just a child and a few villagers complain about the abnormally cool weather. Papas also seems awfully busy in town and sails off each day into an ominous cavern...

   In the first few encounters, blue slime, thorny, gophecadas and other insignificant creatures attack but they're little threat and serve to provide experience and gold. The creatures have all been redrawn in grand detail with brilliant colors. Monsters also animate beautifully with little tics, fluid attacks and other motion during encounters. Watch as a cyclops smashes its club and king slimes billow out like inflatable marshmallow «more»

«©NCSX» The eighth edition of Dragon Quest features a cel-shaded visual style which is an evolutionary leap from the Super Famicom-ish stylings of Dragon Quest VII. When the game originally shipped in late November 2004, Square Enix priced the game at the hefty rate of Y8800 (US$79.37, forex spot), a dear price to help recoup the investment for the development time and resources poured into the latest and greatest edition of a fabled RPG franchise.
   The adventuring portion of the game features a Toriyama-designed lead hero who spans the world in fluid motion. An omnipresent camera hovers nearby to take in the action and interaction between town folk and party members. When its time for skirmishes, the scene changes to a 3-D close-quartered battlefield where attacks and magical spells are shown with elegant flourish and accompanied by gee-whiz special effects.

   The Ultimate Hits version of Dragon Quest VIII is the same game as the original. The only difference is the packaging which features a big and obnoxious "Ultimate Hits" banner along the left side of the front cover.

1) Darth Vader joins the 400% Kubrick versions of Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in December 2006. Darth measures 28cm (11.02")  tall and pricing is set at Y7800. Preorders should ship by mid December 2006.

2) Johnny Depp's Charlie from the Chocolate Factory is molded and crafted into a 400% Kubrick which measures 28cm (11.02") tall. Pricing is set at Y7800 and preorders are expected to ship in October 2006.

«©NCSX» Sega Toys has announced a new set of Evangelion Diorama figures where SD versions of characters such as Rei Ayanami and Misato Kisaragi are mounted on hexagon-shaped pedestals with wind-up mechanics built-in. For example, take hold of Rei Ayanami and wind her up a few revolutions and then let go. She'll spin for about a minute before stopping her little whirl. The figures measure 5.5cm tall and preorders ship in mid-late Nov. 2006. Pricing is set at US$6 each.

To celebrate the winsomeness that is Neige, Max Factory strips off her raiments and places the princess in a barely there bikini bottom.
