PS2 Battle Stadium D.O.N JPN

 PS2 Battle Stadium D.O.N - New Import
«©NCSX» Heroes and villains from anime strongholds duke it out on 2D battlefields where frantic action is the order of the day. Fighters from Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Naruto run, jump, and attack in fast-paced battles evocative of Smash Brothers and perhaps Jump Superstars. In addition to conventional attacks, all of the fighters deal special blasts and offensive skills to gain an edge against rivals. Battle Stadium features levels that may be 1-on-1, 1-vs-2, or 1-vs-3. For example, in one battle, you may face off against Vegeta only. In the next battle, Sakura, Luffy, and Goku are all in the fray. Following that, a mission based battle may be presented with the winning condition listed before the start of the fight. Some missions have straightforward objectives such as winning the match but others force winning conditions including jumping a number of times, using a super attack to finish the bout, guarding for a stated number of times, and so on.

Similar to the Gamecube version which arrived earlier in the week, up to four players may join in on the action (multi-tap sold separately). Game modes include Survival Mode, Story Mode, and a battle modifier where match elements are toggled from numerous conditions. «NCS G-Notes»

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the series, SNK Playmore reaches back in time and collects four Garou Densetsu games and stamps them onto one DVD. Since this is volume one of the Battle Archives, the second volume should contain the Real Bout games and perhaps Wild Ambition. The games in vol. 1 in the order of release are:

» Garou Densetsu 2
aka Fatal Fury 2
» Garou Densetsu Special
aka Fatal Fury Special

Naturally adorned with extraordinary spiritual power, the orange-haired high school student, “Kurosaki Ichigo”, to help the mysterious girl, Kuchiki Rukia, who has lost her mysterious powers in the course of saving him, decides to become a substitute Shinigami, fighting off “hollows” together with Rukia. After undergoing rigorous training under the tutelage of Urahara Kisuke, Ichigo finally becomes a real Shinigami and unleashes the true powers of his beloved sword, “Zangetsu”. Rukia is imprisoned in the Senzaikyu (literally palace of atonement) as it is a serious offence to impart Shinigami powers to normal people. And so, Ichigo and friends sneak into the Soul Society…
Charming combat system full of varied transformations

The fully revamped combat system not only adds to the “Group Battle” system where one has to work together with partners and use their abilities skilfully so as to overcome the adversaries, but also highlights the interconnected relationships between the characters in the original manga and animation series. It also includes elements like the “Reiatsu” system where both the player and his opponent share the same gauge to “release” and execute devastating killer moves and super hidden moves. Includes the “reiatsu dash” to rush towards the enemy. and the tables-turning “awakening” state. Every duel can be said to be changing with every moment and there is nary a dull moment.

Play as a mercenary and go deep into the dark underground to discover the self! There was a kingdom once ruled by a king known as the “Pillage King”. But as he constantly wages wars with no end, he is finally driven by the people into the dungeon he created. But the council, wary of his return, sends a mercenary group into the dungeon to confirm that he is dead. As a member of the mercenary group, the main character falls into a trap. Although he barely manages to escape, he falls into coma for a year. When he wakes, he finds that the survivors of the mercenary group has already left, leaving the main character alone in the town that was strange to him. At this time, he hears rumors of either a survivor of the mercenary group or his spirit roaming the dungeon, and so the main character decides to enter and explore the dungeon again…
Dungeon-exploring dark RPG

Exploring in dark dungeons has always been the characteristic for this series. Using the settings and style of King Field’s I~III, the player can immerse deeply in the world.
Use of contrast between safety and danger to emphasise the harsh excitement and loneliness

Using the contrast between the collecting of information at a safe vantage point (town) and exploring the danger areas (dungeon), to bring out the harsh excitement and loneliness.

NDS Final Fantasy III DS Lite Bundle - Preorder
«©NCSX» A week after Square Enix announced the special Final Fantasy III Nintendo DS Lite bundle, preorders are finally opened up for the limited edition product. Pricing is set at Y22,780 or US$249 from NCS.    Square Enix have not announced the production quantity of the FFIII DS Lite Bundle yet but each DS Lite will be serially numbered. We're guessing 15,000 bundles but perhaps up to 30,000 or more will be manufactured. We'll have the final number once the bundles ship on August 24, 2006.

The face of the Crystal White NDS Lite features black and white artwork of Final Fantasy III character archetypes as drawn by designer Akihiko Yoshida. The Final Fantasy III logo is located beneath the NDS 2-screens logo. We hear the packaging design will also be special which can only add to the collectible value of the bundle.
